Ghost, 17 years in Law Enforcement, most of those years in the intelligence division. Married for 19 years with a ten year old son who is much cooler than I can ever hope to be. Married to a lady I couldn't tie my shoes without. I curse too much and have a weakness for Irish whiskey, but only when I'm out with the guys.....the cursing I mean, not the whiskey...or maybe both......lifelong Stephen King fan. There's a lot of cool people on this board, enjoy the company....now where'd GNT go?....I bet he took the cookies.......
Yay - you're back! Good to see you!

Karl. 41. Not married, not single either (to use the old phrase, we "live in sin"...'cept there's nowt sinful about it). British, as you can probably tell.
I'm a writer/editor these days, but I've been an accounts clerk, (mostly) semi-pro footballer (soccer player) and soldier (part-time) in the dim and distant past. I've been published a few times but I almost guarantee you won't have heard of me.
Hobbies: Reading, watching films and TV (SF, horror, historical/science docs, other stuff that seems remotely interesting), sport (football - US and proper  - snooker, pool, darts, golf). Exercising bores me rigid even with a good book and/or music so it's not really a hobby, but I do it anyway - as little as possible, but I do it. Music-wise, I'm a bit weird: I prefer 90s indie and grunge, but I also own a fair bit of 80s synth stuff, 70s rock and heavy metal, 80's rock like Guns 'n' Roses, and pretty much nothing that's from later than 2004.

First SK book: Insomnia (was damn near almost my last, too).
Favourite SK book: Bag of Bones
Sentimental favourite: I've got to say Misery, because it was the first book my gf got me when she discovered I was a Stephen King fan, and I didn't have the heart to tell her I already had it.

I am the SwiftDog. But you can call me, Mr. SwiftDog ;;D

I always like to maintain plausible deniability so you won't ever get too much factual info from me!

I can usually be found running around, barking at various things, and making a rocktastic racket.

Seriously though, welcome, and have fun posting!

Well.. I am Kurben. I work as an archaeologist and writing articles about subjects i dont know much about(the thought behind that is if i write so i understand then everyone will understand). Right now it is economy. But i also write on history and things i do know about. I live in a suburb to Stockholm, Sweden and have done so for a long time. Except for a three year period in the 90-ties when i lived in Germany working on several Excavations. Have read SK since i discovered him in the late 70-ties. First book probably Salems lot. Favourite definitely IT. Sentimental.... IT. I spend my free time reading all kinds of books. Horror, crime, SF, Fiction, Factbooks about history and biology and Archaeology. And i keep in reasonably shape by playing Floorball weekly. I have a brother in the US that i visit when i have the money. I love movies and have a big collection at home at about 1200 movies from about 1915 until now.

Hi! I live in the UK. I work hard for a living. Been with my husband and we have an 11 year old boy (it was his birthday Thursday). I love spending time with them both. Sometimes, often really, I say thank you for the life I live. Rock music is my favourite to listen to. We own a '67 Mustang convertible, and a 73 Ford Capri and we like to go out cruising and to car shows. Been a fan of King since I was about 14 I guess (now 42).

Favourite King book... IT
King book I turn to at least once a year IT.
I also adore his collections of shorter stories.

I love it here. :)

Okay. Before all of you old timers roll your eyes at me and sigh loudly that this thread has been done a million times and you're sick of it please play along
I've been enjoying these boards for the past several weeks now and everyone seems like good people. I like to know a little about who I'm talking to.
My name is Lori and I live in Maine, born and raised. Joined the Air Force after high school, went to Germany for four years and then to New Mexico where I was honorably discharged and ended up living until 2 1/2 years ago. I am a dental assistant working at a VA clinic, also the job I did in the AF. Oh what the hell, I'm 41 years old ;-D and I have a 16 year old 6 pound poodle.
Hobbies include:horror conventions and collectibles, craft beers, never growing up, eating whoopie pies, these boards when I'm in between patients or not sharpening dental tools of doom, my awesome friends, and generally making the most of the short time we get here.
Favorite SK book: IT
First SK book read: Creepshow
Sentimental SK Fave: Night Shift
Hope I didn't bore anyone! Have a great weekend!

Not at all.

My name is Charlotte and I live in the South of the USA and I've been a fan of Stephen King since he first published Carrie.

I'm a little tough on others at times but even tougher on myself.

I'm an introvert and I won't post photos of myself on the web.

I am very selective of my friends but if you are one I will go above and beyond for you.

There is a limited amount that I will tell anyone about myself but if I find you interesting I will find out about YOU and all I need to do is listen.

I believe in Karma and God.

CriticAndProud Add me to your fan club - I think you're a great person. My son's name is Ben as well. I always preferred talking with adults when I was a teen. Lots of drama during those years of 14 - 18. What I mean is: I'd never know you were 15 if you hadn't told us.

blunthead Have you gone all Dark Half? Who are you? Hey, did you get the Costco Connection magazine? Sai King's on the front with Sister Anne and there's a great article about Revival in it - which I haven't read, but I know it's gonna be great.

My name is Marcus, I'm a CNC Machinist. I live in Southwest Missouri. I've been married for almost 17 years. I love reading and listening to audiobooks. I was born and raised in Kansas City, KS but moved in 2003. The 1st King book I read was either Salem's Lot or Bag of Bones. Read them both close together. I am huge Metallica fan never seen em live though but it's on the bucket list. They don't tour the U.S. as much. Favorite King book is Salem's Lot. I love vampire stories, not the teenage lovestruck one's though. Oh and I'm 35 soon to be 36.

My real name is Anthony. I'm Italian & Spanish, originally from Philadelphia.Growing up. I also lived in Baltimore & Ocean City, Maryland, Wilmington Delaware & Several places in New Jersey. I currently reside in Tampa Florida, where I attended the University of South Florida and have stayed since not counting a failed relocation to Fort Lauderdale that lasted less then a year .I Am 31, divorced, have a daughter, Ahava, who lives in New Jersey. I work for ADT security doing installations on Wireless systems, a job that pays well but is currently killing me with hours (Last 3 weeks have hovered around 60 ; we are shorthanded). Prior to that, I worked as a bartender for several years. I listen to mostly hard rock/Heavy Metal, played basketball in high school and still try to on occasion when time allows. Have been single for the last few years and I don't think I've ever been as relaxed and stress free as I am right now in life. Recently moved to the nicest apartment I've ever lived in, although my work schedule is keeping me from enjoying it much. I love animals and have 2 dogs and 2 cats.

I think that sums it up more or less. Pleased to meet you.

My real name is Johanna. My friends like to call me Jojo sometimes, so that's why I have it as my username. I have been dating
my boyfriend for almost half a year and next weekend we move in together. I work in a gas station and work sometimes long
hours. I became a fan of Stephen and his work when I was 19 and my favorite book is Lisey's Story and Dr Sleep. I have
couple of pets. Two dogs Uno and Jane and horse name Asta. I am animal lover. And love to watch movies and read books.
This board is my second home. Unfortunately I don't get much time here after I've moved, but try to stop by as soon as I get
some free time from work and chores.
Glad to meet you too.

My name is... err... Matt. I'm 41 and live in Portsmouth in the UK with my good lady, my two boys and a pet duck.

I belong to a ghost club and go on the occasional ghost hunt in allegedly haunted locations, but I've never seen a thing! I've also been in a few bands in my time, and can play drums, guitar and keyboards... badly. Right now, I'm working on my first novel, which should be finished by the end of the year, hopefully.

First SK book was Carrie (I think).
Favourite SK book is Pet Sematary.
