Hi John! Do you know why two versions of this book were made? I have both and have often wondered why they did this.
1981. There is also a version that includes Night Shift that came out the same year.
John
I had the first one and got the one with nightser the weekend. But it has no dustjacket.

Hmmmm, James Franco's crush was River Phoenix? Mayhap James is finally going to answer those 'gay' rumors after all.....;;D
Maybe. But I suspect not. Still too much animus for an openly gay man to play romantic leads in movies in the US. God knows Rupert Everett has done it for years, but Brits are apparently more open minded than we Yanks :) If he was okay with TV he might be able to come out (Neil Patrick Harris, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller are a few who have managed that).

I remember reading something somewhere that Rupert said he regretted ever 'coming out' in the US as it ruined his movie career here.

If that isn't some stupid crap, I don't know what is. Whenever I hear someone questioning an actor's ability to play a role because of sexual orientation, race, etc., I think of the statement (probably apocryphal, but I like it anyway :D) by Sir Laurence Olivier: "It's called acting, darling. You should try it sometime." :)

Found a hardcover untouched copy of 11/22/63 at my local Meadowlands flea market here in New Jersey for $1. I already have the paperback, but I'm re-building my hardcover King collection. While I was there I also found the 1st edition of Misery (already have a copy but not this version), and also a 1st edition of The Tommyknockers. Both were $5 but again, worth it.

Aaaaaand I also ended up buying a few more individual Dark Tower comics to my collection. The most-recent ones I've missed out on, and the local comic shop FINALLY had them after much of my pestering them to order them (I support my local comic shop)

(there's an example of my collection as of a few months ago, I have far more but they won't fit into a single picture. All my comics are split between too long boxes, and I also collect other Marvel/DC series, some some are in Box #1, other ins Box #2, these are from #1)

I still need the following books: Omnibus, Battle of Jericho Hill, Little Sisters of Eluria, Battle of Tull, The Way Station, The Man in Black, and The Drawing of The Three.

I have all of those in singles, except for Eluria, but am still missing the full the books. Oh... I also collect The Stand comics but those have been a slower go, less places have them than Dark Tower.
I'm jealous of that comic collection. I have one issue and treasure it. Real nice collection.

Just got dark tower drawing of the three and wizards and glass 1st editions. The Dott came shrinkwrapped. Need some advice. I'm not sure but I remembered somewhere that u should take shrinkwrapp off. It's not good for book. But I might be mistaken. Anyone know if I should leave it on or not. This shrink wrap has been on for years and it looks like book is mint so don't think it's hurt it yet

I'm pretty sure you want that shrink wrap off, but I will leave this to some of our more serious collectors.
