PERFECT original PB copy of Swan Song for $1! I don't think it's ever been opened. There's a little yellowing at the edges of the pages, but whatever :) 1930s matching HB copies of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, both attributed to Samuel Clemens--that was weird, I thought, but they're pretty nice at a couple of bucks apiece.

Cordial Jim- I've run across a hardback copy of an old MacDonald book at a thrift store. It's a second printing in pretty darn good shape. I don't remember the name of it but it's one from the late '70's. Would you be intested in it? All I would ask is for the price of the book and shipping. I'll try to get back to that thrift store on my days off next week to get the title of it. I think it's something like $1.99, so a good price.

A couple of days ago the mailman delivered three beautiful hardback 1st printings of books that Charles Grant wrote under one of his non-de-plumes- 'Geoffrey Marsh'- that I purchased off of Ebay for $9.99 plus shipping! They are:
The Fangs Of The Hooded Demon- signed by Charlie as 'Geoffrey Marsh' and the cover artist Bob Eggleton
The Patch Of The Odin Soldier- signed/inscribed
The Tail Of The Arabian, Knight- signed
Now all I need is the first book Charlie wrote under this name!
*Forgot to add that these books are supposed to be akin to an Indiana Jones movie but funnier and feature the same main character.*

Awesome kingricefan! I love Charles L. Grant. Great author. He's also edited a bunch of really good anthologies, including the Shadows series. The first Shadows included King's "Nona".
I have all of the Shadow series in hardback except for #4 which has The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands by King in it. I loved reading those back in the '80's when they were published- originally found them at a library and thought I'd found a gold mine! There are some wonderful, wonderful tales and writers in those books...

The mailman delivered a really nice limited edition copy of Childen Of The Night by Dan Simmons, that was published by Lord John Press, that I found on Ebay for a really good price. I'd like to add his early limiteds to my collection eventually. Tomorrow is my Saturday so I will spend the morning Goodwilling. Hopefully I'll find some treasures.....
