Found a hardcover copy of Mr. Mercedes and an over-sized paperback of Doctor Sleep at the local used book store.
I've had good luck lately finding SKs newer titles. I don't have any disposable income to pay $20-30 for a book. Between Revival, Mr. Mercedes and Doctor Sleep, I've got some reading to do. I've started with Revival. I'm not discouraged by some of the mixed reviews I've seen on the board

There's a little used bookstore kind of tucked in between car lots and warehouse stores. I've been hearing about it for years, but never made my way over to it.

Yesterday, my husband took me over there. To fully appreciate the heroics of this act, you must first understand that book shopping with me is like shoe shopping with a "normal" woman.

By the end of our visit, I'd winnowed down my choices to: "Dances with Wolves", "The Hobbit" and "The Fellowship of the Rings", and two books in the "Nightlife" series. (Rob Thurman. She's a good writer, especially seeing the her field is Urban Fantasy.)

We got all those books for $10. I'd call that a great day!

Today I came home with a nice harback 1st of Standing In The Rainbow by Fannie Flagg and an unread hardback 1st of The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling). Goodwill and each were $1.99!!
Score on the Fannie Flagg. I love her. Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man is my favorite, I think. It was laugh out loud funny!

LIBRARY BOOK SALE IS TOMORROW!!
Come back and share your finds! Our library book sale is never that great, but I've never tried going early. I'll give it a try next time. My local thrift stores don't seem to have much lately. Last week I got The Probable Future by Alice Hoffman and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - just the QPB with the movie cover, but I've wanted to own that book for years.
