Hi. I found this website because of the book. I'm finishing it. I'm enjoying it a lot.
First of all, i'm not a native english speaker. I've learned english because I wanted to say what Tom DeLonge was singing when i was 13. Since then, i've learn very very slowly (because even if my school has english as a subject the teacher were not very good... and I was a very lazy kid) and now I'm proud to say I'm reading my first novel in english. The DaVinci code. I have just read 9 caps or something but hey, so far I've understand 95% or more (in case of need, google translator).
Secondly, I'm reading 'On writing' in spanish (well that's how i found it) and, shame on me, by pdf. Because the economic situation of my country doesn't let me buy almost anything original. (For more information, google 'Venezuela 2016 insecutiry inflaction and lack of food' or something simmilar and maybe you can understand the hell we're all living here). Maybe there are stuff that get lost in translation. But this book is so good to read. Is like talking with an old friend, who has the enough patience and sincerity to talk to you and explain how to improve in something you enjoy to do a lot.
I just wanted to sign in, and leave a little thank you letter. Maybe SK won't read this ever, there's too much random messages and discussions here.
After reading some pages of this book I promised myself to improve in writing my stories... when i have time, of course. Currently i'm studying and if i'm not careful, i could spend 5 solid hours writing. But a little novel won't give me an architectural degree, sadly.
At the moment (or 'for the moment'? what's the correct way to say it?) i've just write in spanish. Obviously I don't domain english so good, only enough to speak and write little texts like this one, very informal, spiting the words. But i've complete 2 little stories in wattpad. And maybe they need lot of edition, but i'm super proud because i never finish anything. For ****ing real, i abandom almost everything. Pokémon videogames, drawing projects and stories and is frustrating because i get bored or frustrated because i don't know how to continue, or how to start, and the idea dies and is replaced by other. I just wanted to say how 'On Writing' has help me so much, it has been almost therapeutical.
I swear i'll buy it when i scape this socialist dirty hole, and other SK's novels, because damn, that guy deserves my money. Take it all, please, and keep inspiring and helping others.
Thanks for reading, i guess. Everyone have a nice day.
