I planted flowers today-I found the elusive red petunia - I've got two pots full. I don't know why I have such a hard time finding them. Maybe everyone else loves them too and they get gone quickly. I hear they attract humming birds. I get crazy excited when I spy humming birds in my yard.

We went a little crazy about the vegetable garden this year. We've always grown a few things but this year we tilled up two 4' x 8' patches. It'll be fun and delicious - I hope.

Hope it's turning lovely where you all are!

A bit early for that up here - still frozen

So, last night was a pretty bad storm 'round these here parts. Golf ball sized hail, and lighting frying several AT&T boxes and transformers near the house. Incidentally, one of these strikes fried my internet box and it does a horrible death, so my postings might be a wee bit sporadic until it's fixed. Yaaay. But, hey, at least we're all okay!

Fun! Now that we have a backyard, we decided to garden, but until we decide where exactly we want it, we are using containers. We planted a salsa garden on Saturday!!! 3 Better Boy Tomato plants, one cherry tomato plant, red and yellow onions, red, yellow and green bell peppers, and about 12 jalapeno plants. We might have gone a little crazy! LOL;;D

I got a nasty blister on my back foot, I think it was due to my whereing certain type of foot Insole. I a, just going to use the one for the one foot I a, having issues with.
Keep an eye on that - keep it clean (wash with soap and water) and also keep it covered up with a bandage to keep it clean; some people say to let it dry out but I find it is better to use a bandage or Band-Aid

Good luck!

...I am of the "let it dry" camp...only cover it when absolutely necessary.....no matter how good a bandaid might be, they hold in sweat and moisture-which is basically a free for all for bacteria.....

Okay - sounds legit - because I had one on my littlest toe I just kept changing the band-aid frequently and it has helped (not sure if they will let me use sandals when I return to work tomorrow)

Tomorrow I'm off to the doctor. Not sure what I did to my shoulder, but it's been about two weeks of pain.

I called Friday and got an appt Tuesday. 2 business days, not bad IMO, especially since my doctor is semi-retired, and one of his partners did retire. Saturday, the pain was so excruciating, I almost went to the ER. But yesterday and today were just pain. Lol.

What did Calvin have to do with antibiotics SVP?

I'm using my touch screen to type, which is not what I'm used to (yet)... still haven't gotten my new mouse yet :a11::m_cruise:it's back to work for me today so perhaps I'll try to get to Best Buy first. Buying a new cordless mouse seems like too easy of a fix, cuz now the wireless keyboard isn't working either!

This is like typing on a giant smart phone :haha::cell::belial:

I always thought Sir Alexander Fleming, a Scottish biologist, was the person who discovered penicillin :nerd::umm:

Okay - I clicked on your link and I see now that Mr. Coolidge died from blood poisoning in 1908

Oops - make that 1924 - he was born in 1908 and died in 1924 plus it was Calvin Coolidge Jr.

Okay - one final attempt before I turn this dang Acer Aspire off - the same thing happened to my Dad's older sister Irene - she tripped on a wooden sidewalk in Quebec and died of blood poisoning; only 12 years old and the only girl; my poor Grandmother was heartbroken. That would have been in the 1920s as well :shame_pig:

Hi guys - just getting ready to head off to Best Buy to pick up a Logitech Wireless Keyboard and mouse combo, on sale for 29.99

I'm hoping that it will fix my problem on the desk top computer. I was told it is returnable within 30 days.

She told me that if the new keyboard/mouse does not work (it's supposed to be "plug and play") then that would be an indication that it's something more serious and would need to be looked at.

I was ready to pack up the whole computer and bring it in to the Geek Squad, as apparently it is cheaper than having them come to your home. So hopefully this easy fix will work for me (keeping my fingers crossed) :m_excited:

It's already 11:17 a.m. and I have to work the 4:30 to 11 shift today so I better get going!
