When you say that he is happy to share it, does that mean that y'all need my address? In my 29+ years here, I can't say that we've ever received an overabundance of chocolate. Steve is more than happy to take it--and share it.

Oh no...When you say that he is happy to share it, does that mean that y'all need my address?
It's not me....... I've never written to them......don't even have the address.Oh no...
They already have that...
Didn't you see the post about "keeping the ones that might cause trouble"?
Used that one many years ago...It's not me....... I've never written to them......don't even have the address.
Not yet. It doesn't last long enough to need to be shipped out. When you say that he is happy to share it, does that mean that y'all need my address?
Dang, I can't catch a break lately. The Tar Heels are on a losing streak, my ears are full of junk, and Stephen King won't share his chocolate with me......Not yet. It doesn't last long enough to need to be shipped out.

Worked before caller ID came around...

Rural mountain NC here.....much the same as you. I knew of party lines, but didn't have one ourselves. Wanted to throw my first smart phone through a wall, but had to have it for work purposes. Only AC sleeping for me was in hotels on vacation until 2015.54. Unashamed and happy to be able to tell you.
Had party line up until about 10 or so. Aunts always telling me to hang up and quit listening to them gossip.
First AC room I ever slept in(besides Myrtle Beach) was at UNC-CH in 1981.
Got my first smart phone three months ago when 10 year old flip finally died. It is a hand me down from 18 yr old son.
Rural piedmont NC baby.

For the books, we hold them until Steve has a chance to come to the office. He'll take ones that grab his attention and the rest of them we pack up for donation to the Troop Greeters. This is an organization that welcomes all military flights that stop over at Bangor International Airport. They put them out for service men/women to take or just read while they're waiting.
A great organization indeed! They also provide free cell phones for troops to use while they're waiting for their next flight, snacks, and every one of the troops gets a handshake "to let them know we care." They've been greeting troops since 1991 and it doesn't matter day or night, they have someone there to greet incoming and outgoing military flights. What a great organization! I'm all for support that involves books!
Hmmm... Might be nice to be permanently remembered. We don't keep the majority of the fan mail as that would have taken over decades ago. The only fan mail we keep is that from people who we might have problems with later on. Having the paper trail can be helpful.
Not that I'm aware of. Can't recall if Steve has ever written about them but they may not have had a reason to send him any samples as a thank you. The best chocolates I've ever had (and I'm not a chocolate lover so this is quite an endorsement ) were in Europe. No comparison to anything in the US. Have Wilbur Chocolate send me some samples and if they measure up to the European ones, I'll pass the rest along to Steve.Hmmm... Might be nice to be permanently remembered.
Have youse guys ever had chocolates from Wilbur Chocolate located in Lititz, PA? Ambrosia!
I see what you did there - you're sly!Not that I'm aware of. Can't recall if Steve has ever written about them but they may not have had a reason to send him any samples as a thank you.
