I see what you did there - you're sly!

I see there is also a Wilbur's of Maine (different company) just an hour or so from Bangor!
Didn't think I'd ever heard of them but when I saw the picture in the Our Company section of their site, I recognized it from visits to Freeport. Haven't ever stopped in to buy (or sample) any of their chocolates, though.

There is a company called Specialty Sweets that makes their own chocolates and has 2 locations in Bangor. I'm not the one to ask how good they are, though, as the only time I buy chocolates it's for gifts. :smile2:
Thanks - now I know where to go if I'm in the downtown area

Not that I'm aware of. Can't recall if Steve has ever written about them but they may not have had a reason to send him any samples as a thank you. The best chocolates I've ever had (and I'm not a chocolate lover so this is quite an endorsement ) were in Europe. No comparison to anything in the US. Have Wilbur Chocolate send me some samples and if they measure up to the European ones, I'll pass the rest along to Steve. ;)
LOL. I'll let Wilbur know. What address should I give them? ;):)

My one daughter brought home some chocolates from Germany when she was an exchange student. I have to admit they were extremely good. We received a assorted box of Shari's Berries the other week as a gift. It was the first time I had them. My gawd... they ARE as good as everyone says.

I truly hope your auto-correct is responsible. ;-D

54. Unashamed and happy to be able to tell you.

Had party line up until about 10 or so. Aunts always telling me to hang up and quit listening to them gossip.

First AC room I ever slept in(besides Myrtle Beach) was at UNC-CH in 1981.

Got my first smart phone three months ago when 10 year old flip finally died. It is a hand me down from 18 yr old son.

Rural piedmont NC baby.

This party line concept sounds very exiting, and better then tv..

Our office is the entire building and there is a huge warehouse area at one end as well as another building although that's used for other equipment. We mostly get books and occasionally CDs and DVDs. For the books, we hold them until Steve has a chance to come to the office. He'll take ones that grab his attention and the rest of them we pack up for donation to the Troop Greeters. This is an organization that welcomes all military flights that stop over at Bangor International Airport. They put them out for service men/women to take or just read while they're waiting. Sometimes Steve will take the CDs or DVDs with him but otherwise they are stored in his office.

Every so often a company that's been mentioned in a book will send their product as a thank you if they've become aware of it. We pass on the products sent as thank yous to Steve.

We don't keep the majority of the fan mail as that would have taken over decades ago. The only fan mail we keep is that from people who we might have problems with later on. Having the paper trail can be helpful.

So miss mod, he does not see any of the fan mail? I am just wondering as I whant to send joe hill a letter telling him that him talking about his anxiety issues has he,led me, but am wondering if their is even any point? Really just,wondering...

The only time he would see fan mail is if there is something that we think he should see but that's a rare occasion. I can't answer for how Joe deals with his mail as we don't have anything to do with the business side of his career. It's possible he still reads and responds to it but I can only answer for how Steve's mail is dealt with.

Ah,so did Mercedes Benz send him a nice car as a thank you for Mr Merecedes,lol..SK needs to do a short story that is just chock full of brand names as a sly little poke at the endorsement aspect to the business.. ;)
