This is sort of funny...we got a flat tire on the way to work last night. After we change it the snow started coming down heavy. So heavy it was hard to see. I had him drive me to work since I did not want drive on the spare. It stop the moment he got me to work. clear up and roads where dry and nice out by morning. It was only heavy snow for 15 minutes.

High here yesterday was 72 at 3pm. By 6pm it had dropped 35 degrees and was raining, overnight low of around freezing, high today 41 degrees and occasional misting rain. Tomorrow morning a chance of snow and possible freezing rain in the morning but then warming up to 45 degrees and just rain. By Monday, back to 65 degrees and thunderstorms. By next Wednesday, high of 35 degrees and good chance of snow....In other news, Arkansas having one of the worst flu seasons in many years...lol, wonder why???????????????There's a reason my fiancee if freaking out about our possible wedding weather next month...lmao...Will we need bermuda shorts and shirts? Rain jackets maybe? Or perhaps snow shoes for all the participants...lmao...she's not finding this near as amusing as I seem to be...lol
I brought this factor up after we were engaged and she told me she wanted to get married on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. I said something to the effect of "March weather is completely unpredictable around here, you sure you want to get married in March and have an OUTDOOR wedding?" She said "Oh the weather will be fine." But now, she's questioning her decision to have the wedding in March. Now, am I going to mention that I forewarned her about this? OH HELL NO! I was born, but I wasn't born yesterday...LOL

Manifest the perfect weather for the 17th. Sunshine, clear skies, light breeze, good temps. Then go place an order for the Wedding Tent and tie downs!!

Snowing, for the first time since early Dec. Not thrilled, but this IS the Rockies (lol). I've enjoyed the no snow winter, but we do need the water. Last time this weather pattern happened (19 years ago), we got pounded with snow through late Feb/early March and then it rained cats and dogs through June--I had to replant my garden twice because it got washed away. I'll be interested to see if that happens again!

Monday morning the pear trees were exploding in small popcorn buds and it made my heart glad. The white prongs have since burst out in green sprouts and the leafless branches reach out and touch empty air. Soon these trees will be a line of full, shimmering hoop skirts made alive by the wind. Yesterday, I cut down a broken wax myrtle that had been bent by the snow and dragged away limbs in a fading cloud of citrus and sap. Surrounding the remaining stump clamors the waving tentacle-twigs of a Japanese holly plant loaded with coral flowers. Such small beginnings already the envy of Queen Mab herself. Not too cool, not too hot, no bugs: spring comes early.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Past two days were bright and sunny - in the 70s.
Yet, today, New Englanders are breaking out their skis.
Forecast says it's gonna snow today into tonight...
Makes me want to utter phrases that are not polite.

I know that it's only February here up North -
Where I've seen an inch of hail fall on July the 4th,
Where we've had a foot (or more) of snow on April 1st -
Still, to have a taste of Spring - then lose it - is the worst.
