I think that's definitely true. People aren't living in one place (especially small towns) for their whole life anymore. Television and a mostly homogenized, cultured sound has influenced America (and other places) and the nuances of speech is not as readily heard. In Alabama, though, we still have several varieties of country dialects.Got relatives with this accent. Did someone here mention or did I read this somewhere else? We are in danger of losing these dialects because people aren't as isolated as they once were and it's being diluted. You think this is true?
