They are testing the tornado sirens right now. They changed from a whoop-whoop type siren to just a solid tone. It sounds scarier which I suppose is a good thing.

A lot of people talk about facepalms, figurative and literal. I never do this. If you touch your face too much, then your skin gets greasy and you could get acne, even as an adult. I'm usually the last person to adopt new slang or trends.
A lot of slang expressions rub me the wrong way. When people used to say "sweet" when talking about things other than food, it used to bug me. Then kids were using "bad" as a noun instead of an adjective. That drove me crazy. It just sounds weird. Some other people started using "adult" as a verb instead of a noun. And thanks to Facebook, "friend" is a verb.
I'm a very regimented individual, I know.

I just wondered if the new Pet Sematary movie did any good at the box-office because it didn't last long at the cinemas here in Newcastle. I don't think it was a good idea to put it on when the Avengers movie came out at the same time.
In the IT: Chapter 2 trailer we see a fair or amusement park. Do you think the writers melded the Derry Festival (from the prologue) with events that take place after The Losers return? In the book, the Losers don't attend a festival. This could be interesting, though, because it would allow Pennywise to be conspicuous in his natural habitat, so to speak.
It didn't even make it a week in the theaters here, because Breakthrough released on a Wednesday during the same week Avengers released. We have a 7 theater complex, and four of them were showing the Avengers, and two were showing Breakthrough. I am severely disappointed that I missed out on seeing Pet Sematary in the theater.
