Exactly. Next thing you know, it's going to be asking me:

"Where are you going, Dave?"

"The grocery store."

"I'm afraid we can't go there, Dave."

"Open the car door, HAL."

This happened about a year ago...I took my stepson, Aidan, he had just turned 3, to the store with me. On the way, I needed to call my son, Daniel.

Me: "Call Daniel's Cell"

Siri via Buick: "Calling MLK Shell Station"

Me: "WTF??? Call Daniel's Cell!"

Buick: "I can't find a a listing for a 'Walker's Truck Stop'"

Me: "Kiss My A$$ SIRI!!!"

3-year old Aidan from his car seat laughing hysterically..."WTF? KISS MY A$$, SHERRY!!!"

Not my finest moment as a parent....

When my husband got his truck and the first time he used the hands free calling thing to call Evan, I made Evan say a bunch of stuff like that just so I could hear it coming through the speakers.

In any kind of situation, whether it's at work or at home, you can't let yourself get bossed around, even by your boss. You need to stick up for yourself. Otherwise people will walk all over you. That applies especially to women working in female-dominated fields where women have a tendency to be unkind to each other.

Yesterday I had a fight with my brother/boss/landlord, but things are going better today. Our relationship is a bit like the mother and daughter in the movie Ladybird, but a lot more cordial than Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis.

I was at the gig when they broke up backstage before they were supposed to go on. I was so angry. They owe me a concert!!

Preach! Also, as a man who works with mostly women you really see how women like to put each other down. It's sad!

I think some women just don't realize how mean they are being to their peers. Sarah Jessica Parker was allegedly nasty to Kim Cattrall on the set of Sex and the City. Then years later, after the show was canceled, SJP was clueless as to why Kim wanted nothing to do with her when her brother died.

I saw a clip of SJP accepting her Emmy award in the early stages of the show. She was acting really humble and innocent. Then the camera rolled to her costar Chris Noth, who was kind of shaking his head because the image SJP was projecting at the ceremony wasn't the real her.

I enjoyed the commencement speech of the speaker at my daughter’s college graduation on Saturday. A retired 3-star general in the army who now serves as a managing director of a defense contractor. The general gave valuable life lessons to the students graduating. The general was also the first female Chief Information Officer for the army.
