Ok, this is the first episode I didn't care for. I guess messing with the time travel/Derry timeline didn't bother me, but I'm bothered about the differences in Jodie (so far). And I don't like Bill being there but I get that Jake needs a companion so he's not just self narrating all the time...
I thought it'd be fun to have a thread about the Easter Eggs that show up in the tv movie of 11/22/63. JJ Abrams used to drop them in LOST all the time, and I've heard this series will have them too.

My friend and I are going to do the SK tour in Maine and we are planning our trip. Flying into Boston and driving up. Where should we stay? What else should we do?
My daughter is writing about the 60's (specifically Vietnam) for her history class and she is supposed to pick a book that represents the era. She is using Hearts (all of the sections). I would love it if fans of the book and those who lived through the 60's would chime in with their thoughts.
My goal was to take my time with this one, I was unsuccessful:flat: I feel like a glutton I tore through this book. It was

That being said, well what did you think? I finished it yesterday (Amazon Kindle). For me it was good, just good. I can't see myself...
One thing with The Stand that I often think about upon re-reading it, is how/why people who weren't necessarily EVIL went to the West. Were they deficient in some way? More deficient than Larry (who was "not no nice guy" for some of his life)? These are the things I think. Why didn't they...
I read this in one sitting, one summer night in college. I think I picked it up around mid afternoon and the next thing you know I was done (bawling my eyes out, and the birds were chirping and my roommates were getting up for work).
My son Ben is 14, I'd love to get him started on The Dark Tower Series. He's a fast and advanced reader and he will have no problem with the depth and breadth of the series. I hesitate though because I wonder how he'll handle the violence and what sex there is. Also once he starts with Mr...
I found the title story to be really scary. I am so impressed with the way SK made flunking out of school a literal nightmare. I'm too young to comment on Vietnam in an intelligent way, but man that story was scary!
That title gets your attention doesn't it?
Here is my background:
I discovered SK in High School (first book was Thinner). I enjoyed his stories, started out slow, can't even remember what else I read but my sophomore year in college I got a SK calendar for Christmas. It had wonderful obscure...
