But a long time fan of SK. I have been reading King for years. He kept me company on long deployments while I was on active duty, and after medical issues cut my Marine Corps career short, King got me thru many midnight shifts. I have now had twenty one surgeries connected in one way or another to my military service, and due to an unexpected turn of bad luck, and a bad fall, I shattered my right femur in mid september. Before the fall, I could use my cane for short distances, a walker for middle ranges, but the dreaded chair to wheel around for day trips.

I am now stuck in either my recliner or the wheelchair for some time. I have been working my way thru the King line up once again. I have read most of his work a half dozen times over the years... but I read all the time and the anesthesia from my last three major surgeries has affected my memory... I would hesitate to call myself a King historian or expert of any note. I'm just a fan.
