Angelo, I'm Catholic, and I have a book that tells about Black Peter so: When Nicholas was imprisoned, in an attempt to get him to forsake his religion, the prisoners were forced to do hard labour (I think it was mining). Nicholas was also tortured by his captors, and one of his tortures was that spikes were driven through his thighs, making it difficult for him to walk at times. 'Peter' was a fellow prisoner, likely Ethiopian, who carried the future saint around when he couldn't walk. He converted to Christianity, continued as Nicholas' helper once they were out of prison, and was even with him at the council of Nicea (where the church leaders developed the Nicene Creed). Peter was certainly NOT a slave.
But people are quick to jump....without really knowing. That is sad and a reflection on our world today.

What are they going to do with all the stoplights? What's a good color to indicate "go"?
Perhaps they'll just use yellow for them all?

Yellow = Go
Yellow = (either) slow down and prepare to stop/or speed up so as to make it through before the next "Yellow". (Depends on whether or not there is policing at the lights)
Yellow = Stop (When there is policing at the lights)

Yeah...yellow would work. Imagine the confusion if blue was at the bottom, all that indecisiveness at the intersection, you'd have courteous drivers wiggling their fingers at everyone, the courteous drivers whose patience has a limit...the ole finger-wiggle...the wait...the foot lifting off the gas pedal...the bird when the other driver blows through the intersection. Something like this red-green ban could be the end of the world as we know it. Be afraid. Be very afraid! :frog:

It has gone off the rails altogether lol. I did not realize that the colours red and green would hurt people who did not believe in CHRISTMAS. When I was growing up, I could not say sh*t, pis*, f*ck or words to that effect. Now kids will not be able to say C*ristmas either lol.

Really, how far is this going to go? Now these people are trying to take away Christmas celebration from kids. Sad, very sad.

I am wondering who these people are who decide what others can do and say. Do they have a lot of ego and think that the only things acceptable are things that they believe in? Christmas has been around for ages...why change something good? If one does not like it, do not celebrate it, simple. Same goes for the holidays of other religions. I would applaud another person's right to enjoy their customs of faith. Oh well, today's message is NOT bought to you by the colour red or green or the crazy number 25.
The people who make these decisions are those in power more and more of whom have contracted the contagious disease known as Political Correctness, which attacks human intellect, rendering its victims powerless to use reason. They are incapable of realizing that the concept of political correctness exists only to placate the fear of the truth, and of speaking it.

Hello....Why don't we just celebrate them all? Why not Diwali and Hanukkah and Christmas and so on and so on? It seems to me, if we learn a little more about each other we won't view the world as us vs them, but more of 'we'.
I enjoy the idea of other's celebrating their beliefs...always did. It adds depth and colour to our lives. Our traditions really define our culture. How boring life would be otherwise.

How come nobody worried about people that celebrate Christmas as a Christian holiday? No one worries about offending them. Perhaps it's time to celebrate Festivus. Or just stop being so silly and let people celebrate or not as they wish.
That would be the democratic way. That seems to be changing with these invisible political correct folks deciding what people can say and do. It is backstep towards living in a censored society.
