So - I bought one of those little six sided birdhouse thingies with wind chimes hanging off the bottom. Should I paint it with my own blood?

I am certain the birds would appreciate it :D! Really give new meaning to putting blood, sweat, and tears into your craft!

I could never get comfortable using a hoop.

I use q-snap. Q-Snap Needlework Frames

I do not have the floor stand pictured. I have a few sizes but what I usually use is an 11x11. I sit in a reclining chair and it can rest on my knees so I can stitch two handed. Right hand is under the picture and pushes the needle up, left hand is above the picture and pushes needle down. I started this because when I injured my rotator cuff, the movement of using just one hand going above and below, above and below, was so painful. And taking pain meds leads to pulling out stitches the next day.:a11:

I do not recommend the Michaels brand. (Loops and threads I think it’s called.) it is not at all comparable.

I made a cover for it, and the extra material is rolled under the cover. Like these. Q snap cover | Etsy (I made my own, and this is not my Etsy shop. I do not know who’s it is so my linking is not a recommendation.)

This is fabulous! Thank you so much for the information. I am actually not familiar with Q Snap Needlework Frames, but they look so much better than the wood frames I was looking at. They also look like they would salvage my poor wrists. I will definitely check them out!

Your dollhouse is AMAZING!!!!:eek::eek: This could totally be on display with the Frances Glessner Lee Nutshells! There are so many little details. How long has it taken you thus far?
Iam not really sure. I work on awhile. Then I do other crafts and things. Then I go back to it. I slacked off for awhile due to my eye issue. So no idea how much time I really have in it. plus for awhile I would get something done and then go back and change it.
