My order arrived on Friday and I was hoping to show y'all some jewelry I'd made over the weekend but I discovered titanium is stronger than I am :( I can barely open and close the 18 gauge jump rings and the 22 gauge wire I bought to make head pins is too hard of a metal to make cute head pins - the wire snaps if you try to fold it. I'm glad I didn't order much lol. I read a couple tutorials about soft metal vs hard metal and now realize I need a soft metal to scroll and wrap.

Found this link with lots of advice about using alcohol inks on metal and stamping them (first).

Thank you! This might be a good way to get around bronzeze tarnishing( Im too lazy to treat the bronze)

lol... I didn't think to look for washers. I kinda think maybe they don't carry hardware :)

Home Depot is pretty great plus it gives Husband a reason to go there;;D.I got a bunch of washer with predrilled holes in them off Ebay really cheap!(they are from overseas)

My to do list is getting longer every time I come in this thread. :D

No kidding! For once craft supply hoarding is paying off!

Been a long while since I posted in this thread. Aside from Spring break vacation I have been busy with work, reading, listening to audio books and my own writing. So basically just life in general.

But today I finally got the remaining materials I need to finish all of the slipcases I had planned on making. So I hope to get some new slipcases done tomorrow!

Can't wait to see!

What a bummer after all that excitement and waiting for your jump rings:(

So last night proved to be a bad night for making slipcases. Humidity and me don't mix well. Nightmares didn't turn out well at all. I am really bummed cause of how much work went into it, only to fail at the end. But Rose Madder turned out nice I think.

...indeed, and isn't it ironic(sorry, Alanis ), that Nightmares was a nightmare?....

I'm a perfectionist too so I can sympathize but I think both cases look great :) You're too hard on yourself :)

I am watching movies, yapping on here and locker hooking a rug. I am woefully behind in photos of things. I owe pictures of confetti bowls, my yellow shag heart in a shadow box and a few quilts and such.

locker hook rugs are so cool to have in your home. they really look awesome.
You are a magnificent multi-tasker!
Now I have to pinterest locker hook rugs!

edit: I looked - very pretty!!

Mystery solved...
I live in the country so I use a jetpack and I'm charged for all GB usage. My last couple bills from Verizon have been horribly high. I thought maybe someone close by was using my connection so I started turning off my jetpack whenever I wasn't online. Then I thought my usage might be high because of all the ebooks I've downloaded these last couple months. This weekend I compared my ebook download times to my GB usage log - the times didn't jive. I finally discovered that the Pinterest app uses LOTS of GBs :( It made me sad but I trashed my Pinterest mail this morning :(

I did look at some images of locker hook rugs without going on Pinterest though. They are very cool :)
