Got a cool Christmas present for the wife. It’s a framed ‘Stephen King Scratch Off Books’ poster for his 90 published novels. When you read a novel you scratch off the labeled gold block and it reveals an actual picture of the novel. Since she’s already read everyone she’s now starting a reread of his books so I thought she’d like this. I figure it would make a nice conservation piece hanging on the wall next to the bookcase and it looks great and classy.

Actually, no I didn’t because such a poster doesn’t exist. I did order her a poster like this for 100 classic novels (I looked but there’s not one for Stephen King novels). I figured it helps for future presents as I can just get her classic books yet to be read. But it would be cool if King did license something like this to someone… hint, hint. ;):)

Don't think it's what you intended but still works. ;)

Hello All Tet-Mates,

I'd like to take this time to offer anyone and everyone Seasons Greetings, Merry Christmas and Fleece Navy Dot. Yet another Holiday Season has snuck up on me and it'll be another December 24th gas station run to get a gift for the wife. Typically I get her a few Lotto tickets, some chocolate bars and gas line anti-freeze.

All kidding aside I hope everyone finds a modicum of inner-peace and warm laughter comes from your thoughts during these somewhat trying times.

I am in the middle of a kitchen reno and was hoping to be done before Christmas but it will not take place until after Christmas. When I say 'I', I mean the folks I hired. My part was to gut the kitchen, rip down everything, make it empty and provide a clean slate for the pros to fill in. Once it is done Joyce will have a beautiful dream kitchen. The rest of the house is still 'shackish' but that kitchen will look darn fine.

With no kitchen this year there will be no tree and no family coming over. We'll go to the kids this year and be treated royally I'm sure. Me, I'll be cracking wise about how 'in my day' we used to do things differently. (It's expected and also the role I play).

Here's hoping 2020 won't be as crazy as the prior 4,000 or 15 million years (take your pick...it's all a guess).

Merry Christmas, mal
