Guess!!Do you have The Stand?
An advanced reader's copy of 'If It Bleeds' could do so much for my moral and aid in getting through these troubling times.Reread your post after reading Dana Jean's response and realize I misunderstood what you were saying. You bought the chocolate because of what he said, not that you ate it as comfort food. I'll still stand by my comment that it wasn't irrational. Seems more like compassion to me.
When you become an actual book reviewer for the press, you're welcome to apply to Scribner (they're the ones who give them out) to request one. That's pretty compassionate of me, don't you think, considering I could have gone in a completely different direction? An advanced reader's copy of 'If It Bleeds' could do so much for my moral and aid in getting through these troubling times.
Compassion?
Meh... compassion is for people with good kind hearts. My heart is sitting in a flower pot somewhere waiting for the pouring of today's old coffee.
I could be a member of the press here. You'd vouch for me, right, oh compassionate one? When you become an actual book reviewer for the press, you're welcome to apply to Scribner (they're the ones who give them out) to request one. I cant wrestle over as usual in these times si paid the extra bucks to have it delivered. Dont know if it will give compassion but at least distraction. An advanced reader's copy of 'If It Bleeds' could do so much for my moral and aid in getting through these troubling times.
Compassion?
Uh, no, since I don't consider giving reviews here making anyone a member of the press. And we'll not even go into the fits you give me with your spelling and grammar.I could be a member of the press here. You'd vouch for me, right, oh compassionate one?
I preordered mine from Amazon prime knowing Ms Mod has some superpower against my powers of persuasion. Haven't quite found her kryptonite yet.I pre ordered my copy yesterday from the local bookstore. Will be delivered by mail hopefully by the end of april!! I have my reasons... I'm a member of USGCP, Local 666. (Union of Spelling and Grammar Challenged Press)Uh, no, since I don't consider giving reviews here making anyone a member of the press. And we'll not even go into the fits you give me with your spelling and grammar.
With only 83 days left until 6/30/20, I feel pretty confident about putting odds on that not happening.I preordered mine from Amazon prime knowing Ms Mod has some superpower against my powers of persuasion. Haven't quite found her kryptonite yet.
Sadly.... I'm almost resolved to agree with you. With only 83 days left until 6/30/20, I feel pretty confident about putting odds on that not happening.
Indulging--I am not a potato chip eater. Why is there an empty bag of baked potato chips in the trash?? We seek comfort in strange ways. You're not alone in indulging in some comfort through food. I have a feeling psychiatrists would have a very rational explanation for it and there's a scientific reason for it. That's what I'm telling myself, at least, after having devoured an entire container of roasted red pepper hummus and pita chips in 2 days--only because I paced myself.
That was my first temptation but the good side of going grocery shopping only when I absolutely have to these days is that I should be able to resist for at least another week or two judging by what's currently in my pantry and refrigerator. Fingers crossed.Indulging--I am not a potato chip eater. Why is there an empty bag of baked potato chips in the trash?? We seek comfort in strange ways.
There seems to be a club. Actress Naomi Watts is documenting her quarantine and recently experienced a meltdown and binge eating as her printer, vacuum cleaner and dishwasher all bit the dust on the same day.Indulging--I am not a potato chip eater. So sorry for your loss, Notaro (((((Y'all))))) ♥Only found out the other day my uncle passed away last week,he was in a nursing home and contracted covid-19 in there, funeral was strictly immediate family only as per the new rules. He was the last of my mother's family, I hadn't seen him in several years but I always remember him as being a funny, happy go lucky guy. R.I.P. Maurice. My brother in law's youngest daughter tested positive but she seems to be over the worst of it thank God.
I keep telling myself that I have to get up every day, get dressed and put on my make up as usual so that I can have at least some semblance of normalcy. You're not alone in indulging in some comfort through food.
