Reread your post after reading Dana Jean's response and realize I misunderstood what you were saying. You bought the chocolate because of what he said, not that you ate it as comfort food. I'll still stand by my comment that it wasn't irrational. Seems more like compassion to me.
An advanced reader's copy of 'If It Bleeds' could do so much for my moral and aid in getting through these troubling times.

Compassion? ;):)

When you become an actual book reviewer for the press, you're welcome to apply to Scribner (they're the ones who give them out) to request one. That's pretty compassionate of me, don't you think, considering I could have gone in a completely different direction? ;)

I could be a member of the press here. You'd vouch for me, right, oh compassionate one? ;):)

I pre ordered my copy yesterday from the local bookstore. Will be delivered by mail hopefully by the end of april!! I cant wrestle over as usual in these times si paid the extra bucks to have it delivered. Dont know if it will give compassion but at least distraction.

I preordered mine from Amazon prime knowing Ms Mod has some superpower against my powers of persuasion. Haven't quite found her kryptonite yet. :)

You're not alone in indulging in some comfort through food. I have a feeling psychiatrists would have a very rational explanation for it and there's a scientific reason for it. That's what I'm telling myself, at least, after having devoured an entire container of roasted red pepper hummus and pita chips in 2 days--only because I paced myself.
Indulging--I am not a potato chip eater. Why is there an empty bag of baked potato chips in the trash?? We seek comfort in strange ways.

That was my first temptation but the good side of going grocery shopping only when I absolutely have to these days is that I should be able to resist for at least another week or two judging by what's currently in my pantry and refrigerator. Fingers crossed. :)

There seems to be a club. Actress Naomi Watts is documenting her quarantine and recently experienced a meltdown and binge eating as her printer, vacuum cleaner and dishwasher all bit the dust on the same day. :)

Only found out the other day my uncle passed away last week,he was in a nursing home and contracted covid-19 in there, funeral was strictly immediate family only as per the new rules. He was the last of my mother's family, I hadn't seen him in several years but I always remember him as being a funny, happy go lucky guy. R.I.P. Maurice. My brother in law's youngest daughter tested positive but she seems to be over the worst of it thank God.
So sorry for your loss, Notaro (((((Y'all))))) ♥
Glad to hear your niece is doing better!

I am felling very stressed out today. All the anxiety that was building up is starting to bubble over. I am going to do a journal entry. And stay away from my mom and huddle down in the basement. It’s one of those stay away from me days. I am de-cluttering and she comes downstairs to do laundry and she was all like get rid of this, this is ugly. And I was like no I like it,lol.

I keep telling myself that I have to get up every day, get dressed and put on my make up as usual so that I can have at least some semblance of normalcy.
I also keep telling myself that I have to stop eating Oreo Double Stuff cookies if I don't want to be the next story on My 600 Lb Life.
