I did that too, and called that number. Found out it was a scam. So when that money posts to my credit card, I will call them to let them know it was a scam, and hopefully get my money back.pegasus216 not tech savvy , but possible post #26. I stayed away from PC's after too many issue. Only suggestion would be to get on another computer. Find the microsoft support # and call them.
This is what I see on a google search. They could direct you to the correct help.
I have been busy doing things to my computer.
First, I did a backup to the 21st, and that took forever. But it fixed it! It is now gone!
Second, I changed all my passwords. My bank, and my 2 credit cards, and even my sign in to my computer. Karen found that one for me cause I didn't know where to look.
I am really tired of dealing with this crap. I will know better if it ever happens again!
