I never read excerpts either. It drives me crazy to only have part of a story. And then I spend the whole time I'm starting a new book already knowing a portion of it. No thanks!...sheesh, some people!.......no, have not read it yet...and those "teasers' are always like an unfulfilling appetizer to me...just enough to whet my appetite, but no meal to follow until Fall in this case...
Ooh.. Thank you! You've just reminded me that I had to find something for somebody...I don't even want to watch a movie trailer before I see a movie. I don't read those teasers either. Can't stand not being able to read the rest of the story.
Lilja's Library - The World of Stephen King [1996 - 2014]What new Doctor Sleep paperback are you referring to, i.e. US or UK edition? The US paperback has an excerpt of Mr. Mercedes, not Revival.
Marsha- do you need me to send a copy up that way? Sheesh, I thought Steve would at least get 'contributor' copies of his books!!Am following up on the trade paperback edition which may have the Revival excerpt--still haven't actually seen one to verify or heard back from the publisher.

The new US trade paperback of Doctor Sleep has an excerpt of Revival.
And, no, I won't read it either- that's akin to eating the icing flowers off of a cake, sticking said cake into the fridge and then pulling it out six months later to eat. As George Bush Sr. used to say: Not gon' do it.
Unlikely. The reason they put it in there is to help sell copies of Doctor Sleep (I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know) so if we put it up on the site, it would lose its sale potential. If this is indeed an excerpt from Revival, Any chance it will make it to the main site Moderator?
I knew that would be the answer but just had to ask. Thanks Ms. Mod!Unlikely. The reason they put it in there is to help sell copies of Doctor Sleep (I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know) so if we put it up on the site, it would lose its sale potential.
Then we want the last remaining unpublished pages posted on here.......Unlikely. The reason they put it in there is to help sell copies of Doctor Sleep (I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know) so if we put it up on the site, it would lose its sale potential.
He hasn't shared that with me but my understanding is that the final list of stories for the short story collection hasn't yet been set in stone.Speaking of publishing, it's probably been answered elsewhere on here, but are we going to be treated to that story that King published in Europe or is it going to make it into the new anthology later?
