Plenty of time to catch up then. :smile2:

Well, you have five seasons don't forget. So that's what.....50 episodes? And you'll be watching them all at least twice each, right? So one hundred hours, plus bonus features, interviews, make that three times viewing the episodes with Dany, four times with Jon Snow, and five with Robb. I'm not good at math, but you may want Santa to bring you the episodes on Columbus Day.

Is he a fan of GOTs by any chance?
Yes, he watches it and has read the books. I think he'd made a comment on his Twitter account about the season finale this year that if people had read the book they'd have known what was going to happen and not be so shocked about it. I don't think he went quite so far as to say they knew nothing. ;)

Very cool. So he will be most understanding for your need for a sabbatical then?:D

Do you think we'll see #6 under our Christmas trees this year, skimom? Kind of a last minute surprise for all of us GOTs geeks?
Remember, we get the prequel book, the one about the Targaryans and their time at power. It is out now. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

But, I just looked it up and the description does say it is a never before collected version of 3 novellas, but not how/when they were published. I either missed that before or it was just recently added to the description.

Either way, this is one thing I will be spending my hard-earned jury duty money on. Should be here just before Bazaar comes out, too! Whoo-hoo!

Oh my gosh, I wish! I've thoroughly enjoyed this series (though I find the Dani stuff after Khal Drogo died a bit repetitive--I'm guilty of skimming here and there). Have you both finished book 5? If not, don't read this.
I refuse to believe that Jon is dead. He's alive, darn it! They stabbed him right down the hall from loyal brothers, and a maester. Nope. Alive. And I'm interested in what he plans for Lady Stoneheart--what happens when she runs into one or more of her kids, because you KNOW she will?

I'll wait to put in my order with Santa for the prequel until I get the thumbs up or down from you, CAT! :biggrin-new:

His agent is also Steve's. Don't be holding your breath.

Any chance of SK giving GRRM a call and telling him I'm waiting?:glare:

I did mention to his agent that I was finished with #5 so if he could let him know I'd like to keep reading, so when would #6 be out. He just laughed at me. A similar request coming from Steve might carry a little more weight, though. ;-D
