I just saw an ad for Stouffer's Slow Cook Meals.(frozen food section) Not sure of quality, but you add the meat to the slow cooker, and then the bag- contains all you need.
I made slow cooker spaghetti, you break a box of regular spaghetti noodles into halves or thirds, add a regular size can or jar of ready made sauce, and meatballs from the store..put it on low,add a couple cups of water during the cooking, and it is pretty good after about four or five hours cooking, and the best thing about slow cookers, your whole house smells great! :) ps and with liners,no mess on your crockpot..

Nice of Danie to be thinking of you,now you'll be eating good for months..

Most definitely. I very much appreciate her and all of you.
Ghost, you are a wonderful member here, and we appreciate you too. You're always kind and polite to everyone. Very humble and giving. It's very easy to give back to someone who's always so pleasant.

This! ghost is a favorite of mine! I'm a huge fan!

About cooking - ish. I get tired of it. I do try to cook 5 days a week. 1 fend for yourself night, 1 eat out/carry out night.

The crockpot is a lifesaver for working folks. Here are two simple starters.

Crockpot Chicken Salsa
Put 2 or 3 whole chicken breasts (boneless, skinless) and a jar of salsa in your crockpot on low for all day. When you get home, put a fork in each hand and shred the chicken. Warm some soft tortillas - in the oven or stove (there's instructions on the package). Put the chicken and some cheese, sour cream, whatever topping you like, in the tortilla and call it a wrap. I do this buffet style so everyone can make their own. Serve with corn (frozen is better than canned - just heat in the microwave with butter and salt); refried beans and rice if you like. But not necessary. Great with tortilla chips and rotel dip.

Italian Roast Beef Sandwiches
Put a beef roast (any kind, medium size) into your crockpot. Pour an entire jar of pepperoncini peppers over it. I like to cut the stems off the peppers before I add them. Just hold your hand over the top of the jar and pour the juice into the crockpot, then dump the peppers on a cutting board and cut the stems off. Cook on low 8 hours - all day while you're at work. Shred it just like you did the chicken when you get home. Serve on hoagie rolls with cheese. I like to butter and toast the buns and melt the cheese on it before I add the beef because it's a very juicy sandwich - like a french dip almost. Little spicy, but delicious. If i have enough leftover, the next day I will add a can of diced tomatoes, some diced potatoes and carrots, and some beef broth and leave it on low again all day and it's beef stew when you get home.

Both of those are literally 5-10 mins prep before work, 30 mins tops after work.

A man who is handy in the kitchen is worth a million bucks.

Yay - tell me how you like it! I forgot to say - I use provolone cheese, but I think swiss would be good too. And some folks add a packet of Ranch dressing mix and butter, but that was too salty for me. It was delicious but I was up all night drinking water.

In that case I'm worth about $1.50 on my best day....

Thank you Holly, I'm printing off some of these recipes and putting them in a folder on my laptop. Thank you for the kind words also ma'am. I'm sure everyone would be hugely disappointed upon meeting me in person...lol
