Stay safe.We are getting anywhere between 3-7 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow, maybe more if the storm shifts. They say they still aren't completely sure of the track. Have to pay for these last few beautiful days, don't ya know. Still supposed to get to 57 today, start raining this evening, then turn to snow. Everything will be an icy mess again. It was almost all gone.
fushingfeef -- 6 soldiers were caught in oneMy sister in northern Vermont (near Westfield) said that for the first time in 30 years of her living there, they have issued an AVALANCHE WARNING! How crazy is that? Here's the text of the warning:
"...INCREASED RISK FOR AVALANCHES IN THE NORTH COUNTRY... RECENT HEAVY SNOWFALL COMBINED WITH PREVIOUS WARM UPS HAVE CREATED THE POTENTIAL FOR AVALANCHES IN THE EXPOSED BACK COUNTRY OF THE GREEN MOUNTAINS IN VERMONT AND THE ADIRONDACKS IN NORTHERN NEW YORK. SEVERAL SMALL AVALANCHES HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED. OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS HEADING INTO THE BACK COUNTRY THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE AVALANCHE DANGER AND THE ASSOCIATED RISKS INVOLVED. STEEP, OPEN SLOPES WILL HAVE THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL AVALANCHE RISK. IF YOU GO INTO THE BACK COUNTRY OF THE ADIRONDACKS MOUNTAINS OR GREEN MOUNTAINS TO SNOW SHOE, SKI, OR ICE CLIMB, BE AWARE OF THE AVALANCHE DANGER AND TAKE THE APPROPRIATE PRECAUTIONS. AVOID AVALANCHE PRONE AREAS SUCH AS STEEP, UNSTABLE SLOPES, INCLUDING VULNERABLE LOCATIONS AT THE BOTTOM OF STEEP TERRAIN. IF SKIING, HIKING, OR SNOW SHOEING STAY ON MARKED TRAILS AND AVOID EXPOSED, OPEN SLOPES. MONITOR ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM LOCAL OR STATE OFFICIALS ABOUT THE POSSIBLE RISK OF AVALANCHES."
Are you sure???Stopped snowing............finally............
Are you sure???
Wow, we've driven through Smuggler's Notch many times while visiting my sister. It is treacherous even without snow, they normally close it down for the season at a certain point every winter.fushingfeef -- 6 soldiers were caught in one

Wow - you guys are getting hit pretty hard - here it's melting a bit.Latest projection is 7 to 10 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow in these here parts.
Last night at my part-time evening job at the DIY center they had me drop down with the forklift 4 pallets of rock salt that had been put away for the season.
Happy first day of Spring... NOT!!!!!!
I set up a trail camera over the winter at my apple tree in the back yard. I leave the hundreds of apples lay on the ground so the deer have something to eat. One night picture showed a whitetail dear squaring off with a rabbit. Made me laugh.Wow - you guys are getting hit pretty hard - here it's melting a bit.
Unfortunately I recently saw a feral cat with something in his mouth (dragging it a bit). I was hoping it was that pesky gray squirrel, but I fear he got the cute little rabbit
