We got our first frost warning last night. When I got up an hour ago, I couldn't tell if it was frost or dew on the cars, it was still dark. But it is frost. Just a light coating but things will change quickly now. It was 38 when I got up.
We had a cold night, but not enough to freeze the tomatoes. Think I will go outside now and uncover them - I used three sheets and a tarp to cover them last night as we had a bit of rain.

It's blowing already, but not much yet. They said it's going to hit the west coast of Finland (where I happen to live) and then it goes inland and calm down
by Sunday. They named it Mauri (the storm). A interesting weekend to look forward to, if we believe in forecast. Snow might also come to some part of
Finland by next week. The autumn is here.

We survived the storm. The worst of the storm hit more South, but it blew pretty hard at my area as well. Thankfully no power outages.
It also cool down a lot. Today it's been only 10 Celsius. Winter is on the way. Forecast warned us that another big storm is hit again
this week and it may bring snow too in North Finland. I really miss summer now. I enjoyed the 30 Celsius we had in July.

There was a beautiful full moon last night and did get a few pictures. Not sure if they are any good until I download them.
May be able to bore you with them later

Moon pictures are always welcome, I would love to see them. :joyous: It was gorgeous here too last night, and this morning it was like a huge bright lamp was shining into my bedroom... Fantastic.

We have snow showers forecast for Friday.

I know it will not stick but I'm not ready. Do you have room for a stowaway Moderator?
Wish I could but I don't think United would be willing to make a detour. I don't usually go in October so this will be a different trip for me as far as the return to Maine. In the spring the weather is better when I get home than when I left it but definitely won't be the case this time so I'll have even less motivation to come home. :(

Oh well, it was worth a try. :biggrin2: Have a wonderful, relaxing time! I will keep everything crossed that the weather will still be mild in Maine when you get home.

I have been trying to download them since my How's the Weather post. No luck with that memory card, but did get some nice weather ones off the other memory card. Will keep trying.

Mother Nature showed us today what she is capable of. This time the storm hit us really bad. Tree and traffic sign fell on the road, pretty hard waves at sea ( I saw pictures people had posted on FB) a busy day for firefighters and electricity company. We got power outages this morning when I went out with the dogs
around 6.30am before work, So I ate my breakfast and the only light I had was from my cell phone. It was dark at that time.

I had to take some pictures.

Usually at this time of the morning the lights are on at this road where I live and where I walk with my dogs. But not this morning when the storm hit us
and we lost electricity. I was just out with the dogs when they went off. Rest of our walk we did in the dark.

This is a picture of my apartment. AND NO I have not turn the light off. In this dark apartment I ate my breakfast. Thankfully the cell phone light saved my
morning.

A picture I took after the storm. A tree had fall down and take the root with it. That is a root that you see there. There was much more fallen trees in the woods.

I was at work when the worst storm was over us and it sometimes felt like soon the storm is taking the roof of the building I was work in. The whole
building was shaking and kept noise. It was very scary. We human are very small when Mother Nature show us her forces. Thankfully no one was hurt
and all are safe and OK after the storm. Now it has calm down.

Thankful you and dogs are safe. Be very careful until all is back to normal. Trees can be weak and still fall. Safety vibes.
