Yeah, the turn out was very disappointing... I did like Ms. Mod's violin though. 
Small patches of black ice in isolated areas, and some of the buses wouldn't start....apparently, there are no engine block heaters on buses in NC.
No school today, either.....they have missed 9 days so far. School will continue until June 11 as of today
Houston is pretty much shut down this morning. No flights in or out of the big airport until 9 or 10, maybe later. Ice all over the roads, especially on the bridges and overpasses. Schools closed. My route to work takes me only on surface roads, so I didn't have any trouble getting here, but I'm glad I'm not out on the interstate, where people don't know how to drive in icy weather. 2-4" of snow not too far north of here -- Huntsville, etc.
To all dealing with ice.snow, sleet be careful and safe.
Only 42F at sunrise, an improvement. Should make 55F today. However, freeze tonight. Weekend looks nice: high 60's day/ high 40's night, rains come in late Sunday and that means...........freeze, cold, yuck again.

When was the last time it snowed where you are, Spidey?
January 1977. Gave the children the day off. Didn't last long, but they "made" a snowman in the front corral.
Had flurries that never touch ground in 2010. Looked like dust particles.
This cold doesn't let up you may have to do some more "dusting." 
16 degrees and snowing.....3 inches so far.....was only supposed to be scattered flurries.....now looking like 4 - 6 inches

4PM-- 78F/26C full sun. Rain coming in tonight. Only 50F for Wed/ and freeze at night 32F/0C. Weekend forecast 80F.
Another "snow day" for many around here. At first it was going to be 2-4" of snow, then maybe nothing. Then they canceled schools and public services in Houston. Then they downgraded it to a warning. I drove to work without any trouble this morning. Then we got some freezing rain and scattered flurries.
Been snowing since noon, freezin' buns. No school tomorrow. Double 
The weather stinks! HA! Very Cold and yesterday was snowy! The kids are bored. Can't wait to curl up with the Tower and a beer tonight!!
Big snow issues here today. Kids are stranded on school buses and at schools and traffic is grid-locked --people running out of gas. I'm home and safe but keep our kids in your thoughts. I'm worried about the kids. Everybody were sent home at the same time today . . .not cool.

It is awful . . .they should have closed the schools today. I'm so worried about the kids . . .
Watching the news and there are many school buses stranded . . .with the babies. This is a mess.
