Well, I'm more disappointed (in mankind in general) than I am angry. I met a young lady today who is developmentally delayed, but incredibly high functioning - who had brain surgery several years ago at Mayo clinic for an extreme seizure disorder. She can't work or drive and depends on people from her church for rides. She volunteers every Sunday as a greeter or in the nursery. She's a part of the young adults group, but has been told she is too old (34) and is looking to fit in somewhere. She just wants to be a part of something, to be included. If you are a religious person and exclude someone because they are a bit of a challenge or inconvenient at times, I'm sorry - but you aren't grasping the concept.
What she should not be kicked out of the young adults group. I think she should complain or get some one to advocate for her. I know some one who has aged out of the young adult group but was able to stay I. Due to his special needs

I agree that too many people draw an automatic line between being single and being unhappy. It’s good to find someone that makes you happy and that’s you’d like to spend the rest of tourneys life with, but too many people rush into it without much second thought and end up in undesirable situations, this is why so many marriages end up in divorce. There are plenty of happy people out there who are single/found their partner in later stages of life.

Thanks. Just in case I wasn't really going to Hell I posted this on Facebook.

The only thing which really worries me is once my mom is gone no one else will have a use for me and I will just waste away.

it really sucks how people can be so cruel. I just wonder how they would feel if this were happening to them. Damn pisses me off.
My grandaughter was diagnosed with Lupus recently and kids have been very cruel. She has lost most of her friends. Kids say she has herpes cause she has some sores on her face. Which are starting to get better due to a perscription. But it has been hard for her.

I believe people should be more caring towards one another. Being at any disadvantage is quite hard enough for anyone.Iam so happy you are so kind Morgan.

I am felling upset. and a bit frustrated. I have been having hair drama for the last like month or two trying different methods and hair curling irons and cross. and today i just lost it and was like f$45!!1! I told my mom to call our hairdresser to see if she cans set up some sort of appointment so she can fix the cut\mess and she said that they are like not open until like 1:00pm or something stupid.. so i will try and call this afternoon. it frustrates me as i dont need this added stress as i am unemployed for like a year with a brief employment of 3 mouths a Christmas time. wich did not turn into any thing after Christmas. and i am weighting on hearing back from a job i interviewed with last week,. and the weighting is the hardest part. the part i hate the most. and i am felling strong urge to shop lift. I dont do it, but that is when i know my stress is getting out of control i am going to start to go to the gym. perhaps on the weekend. i need a reason to get up out of bed as my motivation has gone down the toilet
Hope you feel better soon - don't give in to your urges! :icon_eek: try going for a walk outside maybe - sending you lots of good vibes ((((Hill lover)))) Gym time would be good too

I hope your granddaughter gets the help she needs. Sorry to hear about the kids treating her badly. Sounds like someone should educate these kids about health and disease and which things are not contagious

Sad, just sad. Like Neesy said, these kids need some education.
Even as a kid you have to know ok, the "fun" is over.

All the best and positive thoughts to your grandaughter

Absolutely right! That church is having a convention on Friday and Saturday for the young adults group and the young woman I mentioned will be attending. She was concerned because they aren't providing a lunch, but will have an extended break. She's asked several members about their plans and has received a consistent I don't know yet answer. She will either pack a lunch or walk to Wendy's if she can afford it. I am going to try VERY hard to find out the itinerary and rearrange my schedule so I can pick her up and take her out to eat on one of the meeting days.
Hi Morgan, That inspires me and I think you are really cool. All the best, mal
