You know, sometimes we just have to admit when we're wrong and apologize. People can be so stubborn about this. Give up that heavy energy everyone. Say you're wrong, apologize and be at peace.I'm happy because I decided to SOWISA and text an apology to someone I care deeply about, and have hopefully made the first step in regaining a good friendship. We haven't spoken for two-months, mainly due to me being very badly behaved, and I didn't expect a response. The smile on my face when he replied made me realise I haven't smiled properly since we stopped talking. It really is amazing the effect a genuine apology can have on people.

Author Sherman Alexie says (and this is a US thing) only white people call 'em Native Americans. He's a cranky ol' bastid, but there's prolly something to that.
Absolutely. I'm glad it has worked out so nicely. And you feel so much better!Exactly...and I can be very stubborn, as y'all know! There was fault on both sides, but I feel so much better for apologising for my part in everything. Sometimes we need to learn not to listen to others and just go with our hearts. For months I've had friends tell me not to make the first move but I don't think it matters who apologises first, so long as you're really willing to put things right.
Sounds great! Happy birthday to her!Today is my baby girl's 15th birthday, she loved her presents (though they weren't expensive), The Doctor Who TARDIS cake I made worked out, and so did the homemade ricotta and sauce for the lasagna. Oh, and I got the living room spotless before the in-laws showed up with their gift--haha! A good day
You are right - I had some friends who were Natives and when we hung around the oldest lady there (I guess she was an Elder) was talking about "lookit all the Indians we got here" I did not know what to say so I just sat there in the group in a little circle. Natives can be pretty cool especially when they start drumming and dancing. I'm glad I live in WinnipegAuthor Sherman Alexie says (and this is a US thing) only white people call 'em Native Americans.
