Here, there and everywhere.
Hi, friends. I would love some advice on this - I was one of three candidates called in for an interview, and my interview was last Monday. They told me that they would be interviewing the last candidate early this week, and then they'd let me know one way or another whether I got the job. I sent thank you notes to the man and woman who interviewed me, expressing my interest in the job. So - if they interviewed the last candidate early this week, and I still haven't heard anything today (Friday), would it be pushy for me to call and ask if they've made a decision, or should I just sit here and be a mess until I get a phone call or rejection letter? It's just that it's Friday, and I don't want to be a ball of nerves all weekend. What do you think?

I think it would be fine to call, thank them for the interview once more, and ask when the decision might be made.
Good luck! ♥

I have to vaguely disagree. I did this once, they promised to let me know either way Friday morning. I hadn't heard by close of business Friday. I made the call, as I'd been really busy at work and thought they might have tried to call me etc, and was spoken to rather frostily. My rejection letter turned up in the post Tuesday of the next week. I'm sure it won't be the same for you but that was just my experience. Best of luck to you.

I think you should call them. They'd understand it's because it's Friday and you were told the last candidate was early in the week. I think they expect those interested to call in this case. If there's a delay in them contacting you it might be that they hoped to be able to but it's taking longer than they'd thought it would. I see no need to prolong your suspense.

I think your experience might've been an exception to a rule. It sounds to me like the company you applied to had some unprofessional people working there. Maybe you were better off not getting the job!

I'm so sorry, sometimes I need to know when to keep my mouth shut.... look at the advice you've received so far, I am by far in the minority, go for it.xx

No need to apologize, MC! That's just my worst fear, that they'll be all like, "We said we'd get back with you. You clearly can't follow instructions."
