We'd definitely want to say NO to the fortune cookies!Yes. Hollywood Slots. It's a hotel as well if anyone wants to look into staying there. I've heard it's pricey but not sure.
Maybe Chinese isn't such a good idea with the IT dinner

Let's check for peanut allergies first. I wouldn't want to be responsible for a SKMB King Kon gathering being on the news for putting one or more of its members into anaphylactic shock.....I say Marsha makes everybody peanut butter sammiches and Steve provides the Pepsi and Oreos.....
I'm down.....I say Marsha makes everybody peanut butter sammiches and Steve provides the Pepsi and Oreos.....
Yes, maybe put all this on the back burner until the October book tour is over with? You'll have too many irons in the fire, Marsha.Only thing that comes immediately to mind is Oriental Jade but I usually only do take-out from them so don't know if they even still do a buffet. We can add that to the to do list to figure out between now and July '18.
...Yay!!!!!...It's official! I will be there! Soooo excited!
Yeah, the Sea Dog. That's it. Sorry, just now seeing your response. I appreciate the insider scoop.Hope you can make it! I think you mean the Sea Dog and it's a place I like to go. Good brew The Blue Paw on draft is a MUST have. The food is pretty good too They have an outside deck as well which is great in the summer as the restaurant is right on the river. I think we should all go there. There are two Dysart's, the one you'll want is in Hampden(just a few miles outside of Bangor)as that was the Trucks inspiration. The hotels depend on where you want to stay. There are several by the mall area which might be where the Hilton is...there's one right downtown called the Charles Inn but stacy270 stayed there and was NOT pleased with the bed but it's a great location.
Yes, the Ramada Inn was where I stayed, too, not the Hampton Garden Inn. It had a bar and restaurant that was quiet and the perfect place to unwind with a drink after a long drive.I am about and hour and forty minutes away from Bangor so I don't know how useful I can be AND am PAINFULLY shy about calling places to get stuff done.I am a more "behind the scenes" kind of person I guess. We can totally show up early if Gerald (or anyone else) needs set up help or anything and bring an SK themed dessert if we are having refeshments.I'm in for the nametags, stained glass piece and if door prizes are done I can do some Sk themed totes or something. We can help with transportation while up there if needed too.
We have stayed in two hotels in Bangor so here are my thoughts on that.
-Ramada Inn,Bangor-This was pretty great. There is a bar(serves food too) on the premises and also free breakfast. They DO have a free shuttle service but if there is a concert there that weekend you are looking at a long wait for a shuttle ride.
-The Charles Inn,Bangor- The bed was HORRIBLE.It is an old building so an old building is what you get.I kind of liked the old building aspect myself. The location is PERFECT though! We will be trying to stay there because the location trumps the bad bed.(they also have a "Stephen King" room). There also appeared to be a small cafe towards the front of the hotel off to the side but we didnt go in there.
....we need that kind of help as well honey....you will be doing a GREAT deal with just what you've volunteered so far.....I'm the bullshi**er of the bunch-making calls doesn't concern me a'tall.....I am about and hour and forty minutes away from Bangor so I don't know how useful I can be AND am PAINFULLY shy about calling places to get stuff done.I am a more "behind the scenes" kind of person I guess. We can totally show up early if Gerald (or anyone else) needs set up help or anything and bring an SK themed dessert if we are having refeshments.I'm in for the nametags, stained glass piece and if door prizes are done I can do some Sk themed totes or something. We can help with transportation while up there if needed too.

....y'all pick what you like.....I just put out there where Tracy and I anticipate staying....and we can use it or another locale as a central rendezvous.....Yes, the Ramada Inn was where I stayed, too, not the Hampton Garden Inn. ...I was quoted around 169.....I just googled Best Western White House Inn. Their rates begin at 229.00, is that correct? I liked what I saw. I'm keeping this one in mind.
That's me in corner. Losing my religion.
Positive thinking. Never say never! I do hope you can attend.I really, really want to.... but i doubt very much if i can make it happen. And this thread has made me jealous one year in advance.
But who knows? Luck and prosperity might knock on my door tomorrow. Lets hope so.
