....went to see the new Grinch movie with Tracy....we both enjoyed it quite a bit, and hats off to all involved-being able to stretch a 26 minute classic into a warm hearted hour and 45 minute remake, is a special kind of magic.....
I don’t know about the actual movie but the advertising campaign for it was trash lol

So I watched Elysium with Matt Damon and Jodie Foster. Enjoyable but I don't know if it was me but I did not feel anything for any of the characters. I don't think the viewer is given enough time to bond with anybody on screen before the story gets going. What the heck was up with Foster's accent?
I also watched the 'Final Cut' of the original Blade Runner with Harrison Ford. Man, this film still stands up and is still ahead of its time. What a great film! Everything in this film is fantastic.

I took my nieces to see the new Grinch movie too! I enjoyed it. The screaming goat and the reindeer were great!
The theater we went to had a butter your own popcorn stand. Don't ever let a 9 year old do that for you! We could even open our candy because our fingers were so over-buttered. But we laughed and it was fun!

I have never heard of Elysium and I've never watched Nell but reading all that gave me a craving for Matt Dillon - even though you mentioned Matt Damon, not Dilllon. Matt Dillon was my teen crush. It started with Little Darlings and just got worse right on through Crash. And here we go again.

I absolutely love Little Darlings! Love it! I would sit down today and watch that if it came on. And I would do it again next week....

I think it's Chris Penn on the right, Sean Penn's brother. He was a very good actor. Reservoir Dogs was an absolute masterpiece and he was great in that movie.
Oh - you're right! I just looked with my coffee eyes this morning, it was wine eyes last night. That list of actors is pretty awesome and yes Chris Penn is great - Footloose, of course Reservoir Dogs and my personal favorite Quentin Tarrantino movie: True Romance

True Romance is a great movie. Both Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette were perfectly cast. The supporting cast is so good in that movie. Gary Oldman, Tom Sizemore, Chris Penn, James Gandolfini and a very funny Brad Pitt. Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper were incredible in their scenes together. I may have to go find that dvd in my collection and rewatch it, it’s been a while.
