Saw Hereditary over the weekend. Jesus, this movie was effed up. The less you know going in, the better. This is the first film I've seen where I tell my friends who are parents that they should probably skip it. I don't even have kids and it was disturbing to watch (if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about). This movie has drawn comparisons to others such as Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, etc. Funny enough, I've not read anyone who saw what I did: a similarity to one of Stephen King's short stories in Skeleton Crew, which also was recently turned into a movie. I won't mention which one, because it would pretty much spoil a lot of the premise of Hereditary. However, I'd love to discuss this further when more of you have seen it. I have to give this a second watch.
Also: the young actress Milly Shapiro. They need to cast her for the Firestarter remake, pronto.
