Well, it was muddy and dirty and dark so maybe they got that part correct? ;)
That sums up the medevil period, I was laughing my ass off in the battle sections, they obviously did not have the money to put the colours on the army, so you couldnt tell who was French or English, it was just a bunch of guys in armour attacking each other, LMAO :)

Also, if you notice how they filmed the battle scenes most shots were low to the ground so it would look like there were lots of soldiers in the background and there definately weren't alot of extras used for these scenes. Oh well, it was still a decent movie.

His performance was award worthy in that, just like the book. He is excellent in The Punisher as well. Should have been one of Hollywood's biggest actors, great character actor.
Yeah, I thought so. A few people criticized his accent, but I think it's nuanced and not nearly as over-the-top as some Southern/Midwestern accents I've heard on screen.

The setting is Nebraska, did these critics want Thomas to use his normal Baltimore accent? :)The worst southern accents are usually from English actors. :)

Groundhog Day

I know, I know, what took us so long. Just never got around to it.

It was fun! I'm not much on "what if" games, like "what if you had to choose between Raquel Welch in 1967 or Scarlett Johansson in 2010" or something, but this one drew me in a bit. Yeah, what if you had to relive the same day through eternity with no consequences? And Bill Murray plays annoying prig so well that you wonder why you like him, but you end up doing so. Good time.

Code 8

Netflix original scifi, in a dystopia-type place where people with "powers" are watched, regulated, persecuted, and exploited. It wasn't a lot of fun, but it was watchable. Stephen Amell ("Arrow" on the WB) and cousin Robbie star. It kept us watching, and there weren't too many place where you thought, "Wait, why didn't they use their power there?" as happens so often with superpowers/magic stories. Not a top-of-the-line watch, but we were fine with it.

Watched Groundhog Day for the first time the other night too. You could easily recut that as a psychological thriller. Although I did enjoy it and it was quite funny in the latter half, I wonder why he didn't try staying up past 6 before having the suicide compilation?
