Groundhog Day
I know, I know, what took us so long. Just never got around to it.
It was fun! I'm not much on "what if" games, like "what if you had to choose between Raquel Welch in 1967 or Scarlett Johansson in 2010" or something, but this one drew me in a bit. Yeah, what if you had to relive the same day through eternity with no consequences? And Bill Murray plays annoying prig so well that you wonder why you like him, but you end up doing so. Good time.
Code 8
Netflix original scifi, in a dystopia-type place where people with "powers" are watched, regulated, persecuted, and exploited. It wasn't a lot of fun, but it was watchable. Stephen Amell ("Arrow" on the WB) and cousin Robbie star. It kept us watching, and there weren't too many place where you thought, "Wait, why didn't they use their power there?" as happens so often with superpowers/magic stories. Not a top-of-the-line watch, but we were fine with it.
