...this is just unbelievable in this day and age, that someone we care about is virtually homeless...dammit, dammit, dammit....:(
Ah hey my brother, I still have the big Heavy Chevy, I mean it's a lot more than a lot of people have, and I have my eyes back, which is gonna make all the difference in the world.
Plus, I have you guys, which no matter how this crazy idea goes, has already made all the difference in my world already, and for going on what, something like ten years?
Man that nothin', that sure as hell is somethin':love_heart:!
Ya know something else, it almost makes me want to take back all those sarcastic snarky and mean sounding things I've said all those years...hey now don't gettin' ahead of yourselves, I said Almost:rolleyes:
This and me, it and we, ain't over, not by a long shot, I ain't never run out of hope, clean clothes now that's another story, damn good thing I'm commando man, huh:eagerness:..hmm, what evil doer ya reckon Commando Man foils before breakfast:a28:???

...thank you ALL....also, if you can Tweet, carrier pigeon-whatever....please help me get the word out....I have offered Pat a place for him and the cantankerous cats to live this Winter(with me), but he wants to stand on his own......I don't want him in a step-van in a damn campground....

...this is just unbelievable in this day and age, that someone we care about is virtually homeless...dammit, dammit, dammit....:(

Scott we all know you offered PITH a place to stay; and I hope that if PITH decide he needs a place to go, he will go stay with you. PITH also has us no matter where he chooses to go.

PITH is not truly homeless or family-less. PITH is on a journey he chooses to be on and may we wish him well on his path, we will be there for him when ever he needs us and where ever he goes.

Some people are just traveling folks; I believe in PITH , I believe he will find his place and his concession cart.

Well now the cart is history, been there done that ain't buyin' another one.
But that ol' Chevy's plans are from the original plan, from back I guess about the time I found this cool rockin' joint.
Now all I need to do is get a place to settle down, gather funds to set to working on it, hopefully find some kind of winter gig, and then start turning my now studio apt./cat house into a health dept. approved kitchen, while dollin' the ol' girl up and slappin' on that porch, giving her some necessary updates, finding some decent used equipment, and stocking for a menu based on equipment found and installed, oh, and getting whatever local vendors permits are required where ever we land (my soooo least favorite part), insure for food liability, find some kickin' spots to do some kickin' bidiness, and then rake in some ducats and live happily ever til the next fiasco...see, easy peasy:biggrin2:

Canada
Pat is not homeless, he can`t be while we are alive, while we are breathing.
Come to Canada, brother, Ontario is a fine place to live, be with us, it`s only the three of us anyway and where is food for three, usually there is actually food for like 7. :)
I hope you are not allergic to cats, we all really love ours...but other than that...same like Scott offered you, only better, `cause we are Canucks. :D :D :D
AND you get to learn Serbian in the process, see a few new places...hey man, the door is open.
Just holler. :)

Mm-hmm.
Ya know I might be able to satisy my obsession to finish what I started, by just throwing a load of old barn lumber on the old beast, making a something that resembles a porch and just move on, I mean I suppose I could justify it in my own way.
But there's some other stuff that nags me, and stuff that keeps pushing me forward.
First I don't much cotton to being pushed around, especially because somebody just can, but only because they have the juice to do it.
Gonna push me around, do with some backbone, not like some f'n candyass control freak with a powertude.
Second, I live in America dammit, where bustin' one's keister, being legit, doing the 'right thing', is all supposed to mean and count for something, and I ain't seen that magic trick happen in a long time.
Third, when this started so long ago, Mama had most of her mind most of the time, and she looked forward to pulling this off, for me, yeah, but also she wanted so to help work it.
She wanted to cook for people, she did that most of her life from a teenager til she hit seventy, both as a job, or rather vocation, and for her family to be sure, but also anybody who wanted something to eat...or even didn't, 'cause no one left Mama's place without eating something, nobody, ever, not once, left her going away hungry.
Even towards her end of days the idea of this business out front of the house gave her a spark, I can only imagine in her mind she figured she'd be doing some hash slingin', don't know for positive, but it would be a good guess..she weren't no quitter, even if her body and mind were.
Fourth, I ain't no quitter, I swear to anything holy if I started being a quitter, she would rise from her box of ashes and beat the livin' snot outta me, probably call me sissy boy and wop me again...she was so damn cute!
Fifth, a guy that stopped at the Bodacious Oasis told me about this place in Danville Ky., it serves anyone whether you have a lot of dough in your pockets, a little jingle rattlin', or if your flat busted broke, don't matter, any and everyone eats, no one goes hungry.
Well healed, pay it forward, busted flat, you work an hour, is the idea.
I love that, don't know exactly how to make it work yet, I mean that place, and I wish I could remember its name, it's a non-profit, I am definitely for profit.
But then that's what I kept tellin' Mama as she glared down her nose at me, after I tore apart her high dollah brand spankin' new vaccuum cleaner, you know, just to see how it worked, when I was maybe twelve...'I don't know how to make it work, Yet', but I finally did..oh thank the great spirits I sure finally did..I have mentioned she was redhead before, right?
So see, or maybe not, it's not just about a porch I promised, although I'll likely go out of my mind if I don't do it, but come on, not a big stretch there, but it's also something she taught me that I'm not even sure she knew she was teaching, and that's that no one should have to go hungry because they haven't the money to buy it, they should be able to eat something and still keep their dignity.
I think giving folks the opportunity for them to pay That forward lets them keep that, and, just maybe, that will be payed forward, and then, just maybe......
Eh, but what do I know, I've always been a nut.
Wanna know the nuttiest part, it came after having a dream, and I ain't a big dreamer, and I ain't one of them that place any stock in dreams, and I only remember now one thing, and that was this truck I'm sitting in now, all fixed up as a food concession, and with the sweetest damn porch I could imagine right on back like I told Mama I'd build for her...oh, my dream porch, wayyy so much betterer than I could ever build, but hey, it was a dream porch.
So anyway, that's what got this maddness of mine started, um, again, figured y'all deserved to know.
But then I suspect not just a few of y'all kinda figured I had a screw or two, dozen, loose already, so what the hell:).
Ya know, if you don't chase a dream, it won't chase ya back.

...Indeed Pat does have a few options, but it still sickens me...I guess I'm looking for a true miracle here....having never had to wonder where my next meal or shower was coming from, makes this much harder for me to understand...I truly have never wanted for any necessities and here's Patrick-keeping his heart on his sleeve and his love for Mama foremost, with no certain future...it is a wondrous thing to me, and he has my undying respect and love...he's a survivor, I know that-but I want so much more for him than hand to mouth existence...aw hell, I'm making no sense here...I just want his dream to become real...I'm no believer in God as such, but whatever higher power is out there-please help this good man and blessed son...and may joy come to those who have helped thus far...Pat and I are in your debt....

Now ya done it, I'm gonna hafta get a shot, I'm gonna walk into the doctors office with my eyes all red and she's gonna think I caught somethin', and then jab me in my tender fair buttocks with some manner of potion I just know it!...I love you man, no wonder your like twenty feet tall, ya need extra space for all that heart*insert gianormous sloppiest kiss emotismiley, mine seems to be broke again*!
Hey I've got eats, had to get on the gub'mint dole gravy train
with SNAP, living extreme rustic is more expensive but I can make them last, so no sweat there man;-)
Hey the gooder news is the swell lady at the campground is giving me a couple more days to wear out their shower, she has a wild mama cat she'd been feeding what brought five kittens on her porch yesterday, told her to make up some flyers and I'd post them at a couple of my stops that have bulletin boards.
When if I was going to stay longer I told I was cashless at the moment, then she said go aheadand stay a couple more days...guess I owe that mama cat for gettin' knocked up, ya figure..that and she has another wild one that showed back up after being gone a couple days all beat up, she asked me to look at it, which was really all I could do, look, as she fancys me as some kind of feline expert because I have a couple..she's kinda silly there.
Anyway, I'll sit out the rain coming there, but parked in the gravels.
Anybody need a bona fide 100% genuine Kentucky Wildcat?....

Ask her if she needs a handyman/odd jobs around the place and work out some arrangement? Winter is coming, maybe you can work something out to get through the winter.

Those are so cute.. I would take them all if they were near.. awwwwww

Glad she is letting you stay longer PITH. When you do go to the town you wrote about your parents being from, was wondering if you have family there?
No, no family there, and were just married there, my Daddy he was familiar with Maysville, and that judges evidently, 'cause that was one his stops when he ran 'shine, all up and down The Mighty Ohio River, from Ironton Ohio, all the down to Vevay Indiana, or so the story went.
