AToyStoryInCali, I too am very excited at this point. I always look forward to a new collection of stories, because I will get to experience many new ideas, one after the other. I've said this before, but I'm sure you will agree: today should have been the release date, a few days before Halloween. It has been explained that delaying the book one week is better because it positions it closer to when people start shopping for gifts (after all the Halloween distraction is over), and I do understand that, but a part of me still wonders if leveraging the dark holiday would have made for a more fitting debut at retail.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but the introduction to the collection has been released on the Wal-Mart blog. I'm not sure if the link is permanent, so I won't place it here, but if you look it up, you should be able to find it. I enjoyed it, and by reading it now, I will be able to dive into the tales right away when I get the book. By the way, there will be notes to each of the stories, correct? I thought I read somewhere that there would be, but I can't recall at the moment if that is correct. (Also, at the bottom of the text of the intro, you'll find a link to the audio version of the piece, read by King himself.)

You can access it from our promo page here. The link will be active until Tuesday when it goes on sale.

Yes, there are introductions (which Stephen has read for the audio version)--also mentioned on the promo page.
