So I woke up with this song stuck in my head. No idea why! Haven't been listening to country music lately. Never was a huge John Anderson fan. I'm stumped! But here for your enjoyment... my latest earworm!
I am a John Anderson fan, I'd say. I hadn't heard this song before now, though. I like "Seminole Wind", "Catch A Falling Star" and "I'm Just an old Lump of Coal". He has a unique voice.

You must live in the past cause those are all older than 20.
Have you heard of REO Speedwagon? They were popular in the 70s =D

:tickled_pink:

Today's random thought: Man I am tired - should not have stayed up until 2 a.m. with Andy watching a nature show on National Geographic channel.

Hope everyone has a good Monday!

I am staying out of the Castle Rock threads until I catch up. So posting here. Started watching it last week when Scott was on nights, and it scared me! Had to turn it off! :D

I watched the first episode and about half of the 2nd. Hope to get back to it tomorrow. In the day light. (I will be all alone though!) :suspect:

Part of episode 3 gave me the chills - I literally felt a chill go down my back - it's been a while since that happened!

I listened to the King and Grisham video again tonight, the one where they visited Bradenton, Florida and had a conversation-style Q & A. Very funny. King was telling how Tabby's sister, Marcella, had overheard (through the bedroom wall) King's soon-to-be father-in-law say in a grumbling voice, "I'm gonna be supporting that four-eyed SOB for the rest of my life!".
King laughed, faced the audience, and said, "Yeah, I thought about that every time I bought him a new car."

Grisham asked him if he preferred e-books over regular books, and not skipping a beat he says, "I like 'em both; I'm a bit bisexual in that way."

Hilarious.

That’s a good interview they are so,good together

He's not bad! Seminole wind is a good one from him. He also did god-awful, Swingin' song! But still not sure why this one was in my head. :umm:
When my son was little, LITTLE, he loved Seminole Wind and would sing that all over the place. It was adorable. So, when he came in concert, we took him. Of course, he had ear plugs because he was so little, but he loved that song.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

We need to teach our children better. Girls and boys. In this particular post, I am focusing on the boys. And I'm talking more to the dad's out there, although mom's are important too as boys look to you as to how women should be treated.

Parents, you can make your boys strong, confident, intelligent, caring men. And this does not make them weak. If you think by raising a generation of boys to be respectful of women is a weak thing, then you are weak. If you know we need to do better raising boys, then do better.

I never understood what that phrase meant, completely. It seemed to be tossed about alot to excuse alot of bad behavior. I heard it growing up when my friends and I did something outlandish or stupid, or something as benign as catching frogs and coming indoors with muddy clothes. I agree wholeheartedly with parents raising a generation of boys to respect girls/women; that's how I was raised. That shouldn't be considered a weakness. With that said, I'm equally committed to making sure boys not feel there is anything wrong with boys being how God created them. This whole notion of "toxic masculinity" is offensive and wrong. We need balance.

absolutely. Females need to learn a different sort of respect for themselves too. It's not all on the boy.

Yes, I know REO Speedwagon.
Just curious - do you enjoy being here? I know you are quite young and all ages are welcome so that is not the problem. Actually there really isn't any problem. It's just sometimes you come across as blunt but maybe you don't realize it. Someone took me to task once for something similar - I was told I would jump in and answer a question even if it wasn't directed at me. I've stopped doing that.

Anyway that's my random thought (since we are in the Random Thoughts 2 thread!) It is not meant as a criticism :cheerful::butterfly::star:

Are you back at school yet Wayoftheredpanda ?

Yes I am back in school (today's my first day actually). I do enjoy being on the SKMB and being able to talk among fellow SK fans. I probably do come out as blunt a lot without really meaning to, if so I apologize.

It's okay - sorry to even bring it up - good luck at school!
