I am just going to update briefly on me. I first want to apologize for not being on here. Second my reconstruction surgery is going to be September 4th. It had to be moved from the original date due to insurance.

I just ran errands and went and had Ihop for lunch all by my lonesome. I have a gift card that was given to me. It was for 25 dollars. I've used 15 of it. So I told the girl, there's only 10 on this card so I will owe you. She comes back and said, no, you had 25 on the card. I told her that was wrong, that the card was only worth 25 and I had used 15 already. She went and had a pow wow and came back, nope, I had 25 on the card. I asked the giver how much originally was put on it and she said 25. I tried. I used it, I didn't have 25. But I wasn't going to argue with them. I just figured the universe wanted me to have that 2x2x2.

Also, you know how sometimes, people ahead of you will pay for your Starbucks in the drive-thru? I had a very young man in a very nice car buy my coffee. I pulled up and the guy said, he just paid for your coffee. Now, I've had this happen to me a lot. I'm not sure why, but I've been lucky that way. Anyway, it made me want to cry. Any kindness towards me these days makes me cry.

Maybe I reminded him of his grandma. But it sure made me feel nice.

I used to wonder how celebrities were able to watch new movies. They would get noticed and mobbed if they went to a regular theater. A lot of celebrities like Stephen King actually receive advance copies of films from the producers or whoever. If they put in a plug for the film on their social media, then that's good PR for the show and more people will go to it. There are also some really expensive home screening services that offer films still showing in theaters.

It was 29 years ago yesterday 8/27/1990 that Stevie Ray Vaughan died in a helicopter crash. We lost, imho, one of most talented guitar slingers of all time. He went to the path at the end of the clearing way, WAY too soon. "Have guitar, will travel" was his motto and when he solo'd on the guitar he didn't so much as play, it was more akin to someone unleashing pure talent. From his battered hat, to his even more battered ever present Fender Stratocaster, he caught the very essence of Texas Blues music and I still get chills just listening to some of his songs. So, RIP SRV, you were one in a million and the world lost a true gunslinger on that date in 1990.

I think this one is from Fallout New Vegas, so it is an older one. If I remember right, her name was Martha and you could get her to "follow" you and help you with enemies. But she is part of the Super Mutants, who usually fall in the enemy category but each game has a nice one. So far in the new one, the nice one is a travelling vendor who is hard to find.
