I'm all for public displays of affection, as long as there is no overt sex involved. What I don't like are the PDA's where one or both are looking around to see who is watching them. That's not affection, that's acting.

I went to dinner with the wife at a fish place a few weeks ago and she pointed out one older couple sitting together side by side in a 4 person booth. Halfway through our meal, while discussing various things I noticed we both said "Pardon me?", "What?","Could you repeat that?", a lot. I then slid in beside her and - BOOM - all hearing issues were resolved. I wonder if that's why they were doing it? We get into fights more now, because when I'm being sarcastic, she can't see my smirk.
:)

gross people should not grope each other in public. I did that behavior in malls and stuff when I was like 16 -18, but not after that. that is creepy. they probably got turned on by that people like to do things like that in public. gross some people even have sex in public bathrooms ewwwww

You're welcome!

Here's something new:

An Evening with Joe Hill & Stephen King | Porter Square Books

I just looked it up and it's only a 29 hour drive! :m_cruise::glee:

If I went I might see Stacey1977 there :m_shy:

Okay - now I am fantasizing - since Andy came back home from up north I feel like I don't have as much freedom to just do things like this anymore (sigh)

MrsSmeej - wow - this is being held in your neck of the woods - maybe you and hubby should make that trip!

I had to laugh when I heard the location as I used to go there when I was in junior high and high school. It was within walking distance of where I lived. At that time, though, it wasn't the gentrified location it now is. My memories were of the Saturday matinees with kids throwing popcorn and shooting spitballs with their soda straws.

Not judging here. Just an observation and maybe some input from you guys?????

Here recently at the DMV while waiting, there was a young couple sitting on the benches across from me. The girl was all over this guy. Not just casual affection. I'm NOT talking about casual affection. This was like ALL OVER HIM. Kissing his arm, kissing his shoulder, kissing his face, stroking his face, touching his leg, rubbing his back, holding his hand. Now, he seemed to be enjoying the attention. And she was a very attractive girl giving him that.

I'm all for happy couples who genuinely love each other, but this, to me, went beyond that. It was to the point of creepy. And really seriously one of those GET A ROOM situations that people joke about. I just wanted to smack her and tell her, leave him the f**k alone!!!! He's not a dog.

Men -- do you do this with your partner? do you like this kind of public attention?

Women-- same question.

Me? I'd be like, Quit pawing me you needy bastard!

But, I'm not a needy girl. I don't have to be up someone's behind 24/7. I like my alone time. Leave me alone. Go find a friggin' hobby and do it. I've got Columbo's to watch, quilts to make, books to read, carbs and sugars to attend to.

I'm a fun girl!!!!

Another question:

When you go out to eat, do you sit across from your partner or next to them? I watched a couple crowd into a booth on the same side yesterday. No room whatsoever for both of them. No guests showed up to sit across from them. They were elbowing each other the whole time they ate. It was ridiculous. Why they couldn't have allowed themselves a minute of not being next to each other so they could eat a meal without ninja moves. I'm sorry, I just don't get it.

I'm not going to get lost or leave you if I sit across from you to have a great meal. WHere I can actually look you straight in the face and have a conversation.

Thoughts?

It's okay. Whatever side you fall on is fabulous. THis is a safe space.
Pda above the levels of holding hands and hugging is disgusting, no matter who you are, get a room. That kind of lustful display in public is a clear sign of clinginess, totally not a good relationship trait, if that’s all your relationship is, then it’s incredibly shallow. Seems like the kind of relationship where after they had some stupid dramatic break up after 3 weeks of dating she would whine about how much she misses his love, when really it’s his face that she misses.

Anywhere from $35 to $150, US. Or about $10 this past weekend if you were willing to hit the person over the head with a hammer who had their hands on one and was preoccupied arguing with someone who claimed to have seen it first.
I see I can get one for only 50 bucks here!

I was surprised to see that - I always thought they were quite expensive
