Old town, Stockholm. Founded ca 1252. The houses now standing are from the 19,th century mostly. The churches are older of course.
Built on a lot of small and big islands. In the background the Royal Palace.
The Engelbrekt Church. I used to play there a lot as a kid. Not in the church but in the greeneries that surround it. Engelbrekt was a hero that led a rebellion against the danes in the 15,th century.
Katarina church. It is named after the princess Katarina, King Karl X Gustavs mother. Lies in the southern part of central Stockholm. Built around 1660.
The Hagapark. It is big enough that you can get lost in it. The Crown Princess and her family lives in it. My fave playing ground as a child.

A Superfund community. A mountain was built out of zinc by-products. I’ve got so much cobalt in me that I glow in the dark. But it’s still better than Centralia was.
LOL. That's okay. I have found over the years that there are many who have some strange ideas about Idaho. A photo of the Sawtooth Mountain range in central Idaho. You've probably heard it referred to as "Sun Valley" which is just a ski resort in the area.

This is the place where I was raised in Newfoundland. My house was just up from the beach on the right of the pic.

Technically, my "hometown" is Philadelphia, but this is my town of the past 16 years (I live in the woods on one of the mountains in the pic, not in town).

I know what you mean my dear. Some folks think that Canada only has three weeks of summer.
Actually, Alberta can have very long, hot, dry summers. We had scary tornado weather, too. 
this is a shopping center, just through the woods and around the corner .....
Its become one of the attraction cities for Walker stalkers who are following the Walking Dead.

You must live near another on-line friend of mine. She says every year when filming starts there are people that call 9-1-1 over dead people walking around. The actors when not filming are sometimes in costume and make-up.

My little town.
Leuty Lifeguard station. Spent a lot of summers there. However, it was surrounded by sand.
And we have a real castle. In October it is haunted. In December it's all done up for Christmas.

The PATH is more than 30 kilometres underground. People live and work there and supposedly some have not come out for years. I got lost under there once. Left work and went to buy something. Got all confused, finally found an exit and I was almost a mile from work.
Oh what would I give to be able to have access to this underground. I love the idea of being underground like this....always did. To be able to walk and walk whatever is going on outside.
