Part 2 of the SwiftDog guitarsenal \w/:
This is my 2013 Charvel San Dimas ProMod HS in candy-apple blue. I swapped the Seymour Duncan SSL in the neck out for a Seymour Duncan cool rails. Other than that she's stock. I like her but never really fell in love with it so she's a candidate to be traded for something else in the future.
This is my 2014 Charvel SoCal in candy-apple blue. Stock except for the custom
Dog Soldiers pick-guard I had Greasy Groove make for me. She's got a maple neck and is my first guitar with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo. Jury is out on the Floyd Rose. Works great if you are a whammy-bar daredevil, which I'm not. I'm more of a whammy-bar masseuse. It does keep the guitar in tune which the vintage style bridges have trouble with. Excellent rock / metal guitar.
Here is my Ebay find of the decade! It's a 2013 Charvel DS2 ProMod in a flat red that I got for little dough from a music store that was liquidating it's Charvel line. I swapped the stock Charvel humbuckers out for Seymour Duncan PhatCat P90's. Another Les Paul Copy as you can see. Great guitar for punk / alternative type songs. She had a bit of an accident when I loaned it to a buddy of mine for a photography project I commissioned. She took a digger onto the cement and got a little scuffed up and received a few minor battle scars. Gives her character though! Another guitar that I like but don't love. She's a candidate for trade as well.
Finally, here is my latest addition. This is my 2014 Charvel Super Stock SD in Orange Sparkle. Another eBay find. Music store in New York was looking to move some older inventory. Got her for a good price! This was a limited edition color for 2014 (there were only 500). She's all stock. Maple neck, Floyd Rose, and Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck JB in the bridge. Color almost matches my Camaro
She is SHINY in person. You need a pair of Wayfarers just to be in her presence!
Great rock / Metal guitar. Sounds KILLER when paired with my Orange OR15 amp.
As you can probably guess, I have a thing for Super-Strat style guitars. I like my guitars like my cars, hot-rodded!!
Charvel is actually owned by Fender now. The build quality on the guitars is excellent and they are reasonably priced so if they are your thing I highly recommend them.
All my electrics are strung with D'Addario .011's and have locking strap buttons now as I have had the distinct pleasure of having my guitar slip it's strap while on stage
The acoustic is sporting D'Addario light gauge acoustic strings.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the '89 Strat in my first post is sporting a custom Xenomorph pick-guard from Greasy Groove!
I think I may have a guitar hoarding problem.............
