I cant wait for BAZAAR One month and 6 days. or is it 7 days?

Finished reading The Bazaar of Bad Dreams. Now do I really have to wait 6-8 months for another SK book? Listening to Hearts in Atlantis John Hurt and SK did a great job reading these! I will re-read Bag of Bones while I wait 6 long months for End of Watch!!! Any hint on what will come out in November? I promise not to tell anyone!

I'm really quite interested and anticipatory in seeing what the general response to this book will be. I myself bought a copy, the moment it hit the shelves of the local Walmart (I'm holidaying in Florida). I can't bear myself to read it, however, as I'm currently in the middle of another book, and I find it difficult to sift in and out of two different works. Hoping I'll be reading an enthusiastic response.

If you mean November of 2016, a release for then isn't necessarily guaranteed. Stephen doesn't always publish 2 books a year and End of Watch is the only one from Scribner that's officially set for 2016. I'm not saying there definitely won't be another one, just that what he's working on now hasn't been set in stone for a 2016 Scribner release.

Thank You! November 2016 is what I was talking about!

I'm ok with the title, I was mildly disappointed in the collection itself. I think this is because I had read seven of the stories before it was published. I had read only one of the Night Shift stories before I bought it and maybe two or three of the stories in each of the other collections. In time I expect my take on the book will improve.

Finally finished BOBD last night - it has taken me an unusually long time to get through, but that is largely because of Christmas and other things popping up: also, the short story format means that you can put it down after finishing a story and don't have to pick up threads again if you leave it too long before you pick it up again.

It was good fun. Nothing in it that I didn't like, and several which I thought were really good. And, as usual, SK's comments enhance the experience enormously.

I thought it was an exceptionally good collection. I love the comments as well. It always feels like a peek inside his hesd.

So this may be a stupid question (and perhaps doesn't really belong here, but I thought about it while reading this collection so why not?): Does SK ever get rejection letters anymore? Because I can't imagine any magazine rejecting an original SK story. Come to think of it, he probably doesn't even get letters anymore since he's able to actually get meetings with the editors and publishers for all the big magazines.
