Those ads were from earlier in Joan's career. Once she married the CEO of Pepsi, it was Pepsi all the way.

Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte is a terrific gothic film. One of my favorites. Always watch it during our Halloween Marathon Month although I don't think I included it this last year.
If any of you haven't seen this one, you are missing a throwback film to the charm of the south and murder.
Plus it showed erect nipples!
Wait, aren't they still there in the reply spoiler?
On top of that , what a Shocking and offensive uniform !
Got it. Thanks Danie!

Not the same photo but I did hesitate a while before letting that one through. The original one was a lot more bare skin and cleavage.

Ghaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!! Stop the saucy talk ladies, we're only human! Try to calm down GNTLGNT, take some breaths. Count backwards. Look at some old baseball cards.
Watched the actual movie, Whatever Happened To Baby Jane, on TCM this morning. Jessica has the same facial structure as Crawford but only slightly resembles her. Susan, OTOH, is nearly a dead-ringer for Bette, especially in the make-up. At one point, Bette turned to look over her shoulder and the resemblance was striking. Oh, and the fellow who plays Victor Buono is scary-close, too. The film holds up pretty well, the only thing that really dates it is the soundtrack. Knowing about the backstage fun and games gives one a different view of the movie. Quite interesting.
And doesn't appear to have had any plastic surgery. It pays to moisturize I guess!
I can't think of anyone else who might do it. Sharon Stone?
This is kind of a find. Joan Crawford on the Merv Griffin show in 1963! About the time she might have been filming 'Hush, Hush ..." She looks quite happy -- of course she is getting lots of attention and being treated like a star -- and she actually seems kind of sweet. And you could still see shades of the beauty she had been years before. I can't detect the monster Faye Dunaway portrayed in Mommie Dearest here, but maybe a bit of Jessica Lange in Feud. Nice to see her having a good time.
Watch her chug that Pepsi!
It's a cat noise! This is almost too awkward to watch.
Why is there a baby crying in the backround? I keep hearing it.
Swear, listen.
It's so weird!Ok.. then. Maybe it's Bette.

Listened again. Still say it's Bette, backstage.
