Sears owns Kmart and our Sears closed this past spring. I'm sure Kmart's days are numbered.

I've never canned anything. Twenty years ago I assisted in helping make jelly but nothing since then. I'd say I have a marginal interest but I'm not breaking my neck to learn. I think I'd be game if someone was willing to show me.
I would seriously reconsider this unless you really like the person. Make sure if you ever do, you have someone call you about a half hour in with a mysterious emergency.
...I thought you said "caning"....which I would understand why you only sampled it once......yeep!....

Tomatoes are starting to look pretty good - the plant with the most fruit is the Roma or plum tomato one but we have one large beefsteak that is turning red plus another plant has just one turning red - I think it's the Manitoba variety or maybe the one that is called "Delicious" - I hope it lives up to its name!
A lady gave me some cherry tomatoes that are almost a light chocolate brown in color. I know there are weird colors/varieties of a lot of vegetables, but I'm always nervous to try them.

I get a little variety cherry/grape tomatoes pack. They are fantastic. Grape/Cherry tomatoes are candy. Better than candy, for me. Doesn't need a thing. Just them.

The snowball bush in my sister's front yard. The hydrangeas are in that greenish stage before the blooms turn white.
