1. Knowing my grandparents for as many years as I had them
2. Hearing my father tell me he loved me, for the first time in my life-and it was just recently....he's not a demonstrative man...
3. Tracy saying "of course I'll marry you, you idiot!"
4. Cutting my oldest son's umbilical cord(yes, after he was born)
5. My radio career
6. Becoming a nurse at age 42
7. Meeting many of my family this past year at the Kon

I didn't mention meeting my family at the Kon when I first listed my highlights, but laws yes, that is one. It endures.

Here, there and everywhere.
Becoming an adult.
Realizing that I am important.
Several wonderful trips with special ones.
Learning to not follow the masses.
Meeting Stephen King and realizing that he knew who I was. Hearing him say my name.

How does he know you, MM? From here? Good Grief, please tell me he doesn't read all this crap!

Well, I appreciate the both of you . . .but I think if he felt it was crap he wouldn't have footed the bill for an online site with message boards for so many years.

I've been around his sites since the beginning --been a fan since his original release of Carrie and although I don't agree with some posts I've seen since the beginning I must say that I feel the fans are true and they Know The Face of Their Fathers.

The births of my children are the highest points of my life. I've got a pretty long list of others, too. One different kind of thing that ranks high on my list was seeing Yul Brynner perform onstage in The King and I. He was in his mid-sixties and undergoing chemotherapy for lung cancer but he was utterly spectacular. The physical stamina he displayed was amazing… he gave a perfect performance.

I will say this . . .Marsha has had to deal with a lot of crap from 'Fans'.
I think there is crap (the fly-by-dive-bombing-posters)... and then there is the funny, silly, stuff we get up to. (our 'crap')
I hear what you're both saying... xox

...and no Susan, I think Stephen's eyes have probably been spared from you and your other Fella's 'material'. :biggrin2:

I'd let Steve know you were going to be there, MM. :)

Forget the beach movie stars (I know I'm dating myself with that reference) I was in love with Yul Bryner when I was an adolescent. He was so exotic! Taras Bulba(sp?) with him and Tony Curtis set my little teenage heart all pitapatter. :wink2:
