I was Canadian military regular force for 21 years, then four years as a Reservist; 11 years as a medical transcriptionist and then the last nine months I was at the hospital I switched over to doing deliveries (not babies haha) - just medications, medical charts etc.

Now I am trying to get used to being retired at last.

I've been working since I was 18 years old... So if that is a "lorry" does that make you British?

I was pretty coy about that when I first joined, because it's the Internet, and whom do you trust? But I'm past that now.

I'm a court reporter, sometimes called stenographer, but don't call me a court recorder, please. Mostly what i do is report depositions in the civil litigation arena. It's been a great job, taken me coast to coast, and in the last couple years internationally as well. In fact, I'm sending this from Taipei.

If I had my druthers, I'd make my switch to being a professional author, but I'm a few hundred thousand sales short of that goal. In the meantime, I like this job just fine.
