Run for two Hours ?
Last time i had to run, was to get the Bus...without a Heart Attack :triumphant:

I hate Running, i always did....that was a little Problem at my Time at the "Bundeswehr"

I wouldn`t Run for 2 Hours, even Hannibal Lector haunts me

I'd just come home from an isolated military listening station in the high Arctic where I'd been for six months straight, so perhaps I was a bit obsessed with training at that point.

Normally, when I used to run, I only did it for about 35 minutes and it was more of a light jog (usually at lunch time) - I would only go about 5 klics

Hey Frank,

Here is a better pic of Andy - he looks better without the chef's hat!

Neesy, dear, I feel your pain... I'm on a diet, too.
Since the day that I got married, I've piled on a few.
Didn't really pay attention to increasing weight.
Don't have many mirrors in my home so things were great.

Then, about a month ago, at someone else's house,
Looking in a full length mirror, buttoning my blouse
I came face to face with facts... I'd gotten pretty fat
And I missed those bygone days when my stomach was flat.

So, I gave up soda. I drink lemon water now.
Started cooking healthier, though I'm still learning how.
Almost all my recipes use butter, cream, or cheese.
If you healthy cooks have some suggestions, share them? Please?

Wow - good poem!

Andy is of the belief that we should eat full fat everything, just less of it. I don't think Weight Watchers agree. My only advice is to fill up with fruits and vegetables (the more colorful the better).

While he has been home we switched to homogenized milk which is 3.25% fat, but when he leaves we will go back to 2% for a week, then switch over to our regular 1% milk.

You really have to write things down that you have eaten so you can keep track and I know it is a pain in the butt. They also have a plan called "simply filling" where you just eat whichever foods are listed, and somehow you don't have to track, but I think it is a bit more restrictive. (I don't know much about that one).

Buy a Weight Watchers cook book or start with a magazine. You can find Weight Watcher recipes on line. And - move, move, move! Walking is very good as a physical activity most people can do that doesn't require either a gym membership or special equipment, other than good shoes.

Does this help?
I like boy shorts too, and I second arista on the cool weave for summer - I just googled and I think it's Hanes Cool Comfort, but I wear them and they are great.

I'm a curvy girl, but I'm fit and healthy. I like to exercise and it's a good thing because I like cheese, ice cream and pork fat. And thank God for Spanx.

Thanks - he had just started the job up North when that was taken :)

Hi Tet!

I almost said Happy Friday. I'm ahead of myself again this week. It IS hubby's Friday, though...except, not this week, he is working tomorrow so that excuse doesn't really work, either. ;)

Have a good day! Big hugs and positive vibes to all. :love_heart:
Hi there,

I wish it was my Friday - instead I get to work this long Canada Day weekend coming up
canadaday.gif

Today I made a good soup with a beef shank - it has tomato, onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms, beef sausage and even some canned beans (I rinsed off the tomato sauce first so it would not be too sweet).

Then I made 15 orange vanilla cupcakes :cupcake:

- are you the one who makes those fancy cakes? I tried decorating mine with a piping bag but I think my icing was not thick enough or it was too hot - anyway, they don't look too professional but they taste good!

I decorated them with star shaped sprinkles, put a cinnamon (red) candy in the middle and sprinkled some others with those shiny balls in pastel colors. (ooooh - I even used the American spelling on the word "colour" - you guys must be rubbing off on me.

My next two days off comes up on July 4th and 5th, but we celebrate Canada Day this coming weekend. At least I should get time and a half for working the long weekend :m_firecrackers:

Since the board is closed on June 30th, I'd like to say Happy Canada Day on July 1st - it's Canada's 150th Birthday and they are ramping up the security on Parliament Hill
