I had to work yesterday but I got time and a half - it was Terry Fox Day here which is a statutory holiday

Worked 7 to 2:45 then went to a birthday party for my son's new GF

They had a fire pit, hammock, pool (above ground), hot tub and three dogs running around the big yard, plus the birthday girl's brother had put up a bouncy castle for the kids.

Overall a nice way to relax after working during the day

p.s. Josh gave Pam a 'friendship' ring (not a real diamond, just a cubic zirconium) but she is quite happy - she asked if it was the same as a 'promise ring' and he said yes.

another p.s. - I almost forgot - the cake got dropped but luckily landed icing side up on the grass! (and of course for some strange reason they decided to have a bit of a cake and icing fight) ooooh - I stayed away from that - looks like they enjoyed themselves though.

That sounds like a nice party! I hope she's a very sweet girl.

Well, my hump day had a bumpy start... To speak mildly. It all started when i got dressed for work. From there on its a scary story, end embarrassing too! I actually can dress myself, promise, but this morning when i tried to put on my jeans the leg somehow got stuck in the trouserleg. I jumped around on 1 foot for awhile and then that foot somehow got stuck in the carpet! My balance was now zero, zip, zilch and i fell backwards hitting my head on a bookcase in the process. The bookcase did not get a bump but i did. So there i am, on the floor, feeling idiotic and with a bump the size of a goose egg on my head. (at least that what it felt like. Closer inspection proved it to be smaller). Oh, well i survived at least. Homes are dangerous things!

Good morning,

Have a bunch of running around to do today. Need to take the kids school clothes shopping and also run to grocery store. At least for something for tonight, not going to want to do a big grocery bill after clothes shopping. I wanted to just take one kid at a time but I think I will just go and get it done in one fell swoop today.

Scott working OT, and still on nights. One more to go, he'll be off tomorrow but only tomorrow, has to be back on Friday for days, so I don't think I'm going to make it to DT. Could just go myself but this weekend is out too, if I'm painting.

So, better get after it. I want to sit here and play.
