It is our Evan's birthday today. 16! :m_cruise:

Have to go shopping for his birthday dinner ingredients. He picked enchiladas, so I will make a pan of beef and a pan if chicken ones. And bake a cake. Will be a busy day. Will have a houseful tonight for dinner.

Miss Sage is sick at home today and RJ is at home today too, so unexpected day off for me. Cleaned up my mess in the kitchen from the dinner last night and have just been reading. Thanks everyone, for the birthday wishes for Evan!

Hi there and happy Thursday - today I am making two loaves of bread. I started off doing just one, but decided to proof some yeast as the package said best before September 2017.

When that second package turned out to be okay I decided to go ahead and make a new dough batch.

So now I have two different looking types of dough - one is made with bread flour and one with all purpose flour. One looks to be sort of a yellow colour and one is white, although both are made using white flour :question_pig:

It's sort of an experiment to see which one has a better flavour and texture so I'll know which flour works best.

I bought this Robin Hood 'best for bread' flour, but Andy says all purpose is just as good.

I love the smell of the bread when it's baking! :dnce_pig:
