This is what I know about Black Eyed Peas
- Fergie is a singer with them. She is also the spokeswoman for a perfume by Avon called Outspoken. I gave my son something with this scent in it (a type of body lotion, I think?) and he broke out in a rash! Yikes - that stuff is way too strong.

We always had black-eyed peas for luck, greens to bring money, and pork. You had to have pork because if you ate chicken you'd be scratching backwards all year. Eating pork ensured you would be "rooting ahead." 
This is clever. I wouldn't have thought of it.
I have all of the shows on dvd and never get tired of seeing them! If I want a laugh, I just pop in one of the dvd's and away I go! It took me about three episodes to actually laugh when I first saw the show because I was so appalled at how these two characters behaved, but after I got 'it', I haven't stopped laughing. Jennifer Saunders writes the shows as well as acts in them and I think she is a comic genius! So freaking funny!I want to be best friends with those girls!

Hi Jojo - have a great weekend reading. Maybe I will finally get my re-read of Under the Dome finished at last. I have not taken as much time for reading since hubby came back from up North. Spidey - you have a great weekend too! Out of Order - try to stay away from those 'brainnns' - that was a good post!
Myself I just came back from the dentist where I got a clean bill of health. It is blustery out there today (as Pooh would say) and we have a low ice fog hanging over the city. I took my time driving home as traffic was very slow and it was so slippery (even in 4 wheel drive!)

I thought I would post one more. This is a video for all you dog owners who have ever had to ship a pet on board an airline. This is Air Canada and he filmed the whole process (except for the unloading as the camera died after 3 hours). I found it good. I shipped a cat on Air Canada once and she survived (however was somewhat distressed by the experience). It's five minutes long:

Hi Kingricefan - you got that right. Tonight we are staying close to home, ordering in some Chinese food and just cocooning while the storm outside settles down. It was snowing all day and not a good day to be stuck in traffic. How's the weather where you are?

Is that a pantomime? We saw one once in Ottawa with Bruno Gerussi in it and it was hilarious! He was dressed as a woman and some of his lines were classic. The son was just a wee tyke and it was geared towards children, of course.
Weather's fine here- lower 30's but the sun has been in and out all day, so that makes it nice. It's post-snow here, so everything's all grey and ugly from melted snow. Took one of my cars to the car wash today as I just couldn't stand to see it all dirty from road grime and de-icer. Hunker down, luv, and stay warm!

Thankee dearie! While trying to find a pic of the Loch Ness monster for one of the games in the Games Thread I ran across this wee map. It shows England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales etc.
Anyhoo - the little green dot in the centre of the picture, surrounded by all four countries in the UK, is the Isle of Arran, where Andy and I got married! I just thought I'd share it with everyone so they will know what I'm talking about when I mention it on this board
