Yes, but it was a little bit of a chance that the powder would be so dry and lifeless that it wouldn't fire. Craig went bananas. Lauren seemed a little scaed by the necessity to tie him up but it was necessary.
I was wishing that somehow the "missing" air would work against the knife so Dinah wouldn't have been hurt either!

I felt sorry for Toomey (which is probably stupid). My heart just went out to him when he finally felt compassion.
It seemed a little strange to me that they almost did forget that they had to be asllep to survive the return trip. It was so clearly established earlier that they should have remembered i think.

I felt sorry for him too. Who knows how many "bad" people would turn out better with different upbringing. At least his death served a purpose by saving others.

He did get Laurel and Bethany into play more after the landing. But that bald guy, Don?, was just there. Didn't do much at all
Have you changed your mind at all about how you initially felt about Robert, the fiction writer?
Do y'all think the langoliers were created from Toomey's mind? or were they a natural part of the spent-time cleanup?
I thought about that long before Jenkins. Probably thats why it was strange to me.
I forgot too - I was so engrossed in the story, that when Jenkins remembered, I almost slapped myself in the head!
I still think he is a tad too distanced from the things that goes on. Until he remembered that they had to be asleep. Otherwise he strikes as a bit too academic in his approach.
That's a VERY interesting question - they were so close to what Toomey always believed in, that there has to be some connection, right?!
